Crushed-stone, cooked-apple and dried-apricot aromas and flavors. Medium to full body with almond and dried lemon to the apple puree. Drink now.

The 2019 Greco di Tufo is a smooth and silky classic that shows the deft hand of the Feudi winemaking team. This bottle demonstrates that a wine need not be overly thought or complex to be good. Apricot and summer peach are framed by sweet almond and savory sea salt. The wine is snappy and clean, with plenty of balanced acidity to invite a second, third and fourth pour. (Monica Larner)

Italy is famous for its powerful, sleek, and elegant reds wines from ancient growing areas with legendary names such as Chianti, Barolo, Barbaresco, Montepulciano. Italian white wines are also gaining popularity: Orvieto, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon are excellent examples of Italian white wines.

Wines of Italy are complex and flavorful, much like the culture that is their source and the cuisine that is their match.

Blackberries, smoke, ash, bark, rosemary and olives in brine. This is full-bodied with lightly stemmy yet smooth tannins and a lot of tension on the finish. Drink from 2022.

The 2018 Aglianico Rubrato is dark, earthy, and extroverted, as waves of crushed black fruits, strewn with moist soil, minerals, and animal tones reach up from the glass, yet there’s a seductive purple-tinged floral note which adds vibrancy and lift. Or the palate, soft, creamy textures wash across the senses with ripe blueberry and black cherry, as cooling acids add vibrancy, and inner florals develop. The finish is medium in length, resonating on darker fruits with a hint of sweet spice and lingering acids, which makes for a clean yet truly enjoyable finale. (Eric Guido)

This creamy white shows a salty base note and lively acidity, layered with apricot and poached pear fruit, light herbs and spices. Drink now. 80,000 cases made, 7,000 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)

Offering white flower, nectarine, quince and passion fruit, the Feudi di San Gregorio 2021 Falanghina del Sannio is one of the estate’s entry-level whites, but it shows that familiar focus and sharpness that we see in the top-shelf wines. This wine sees a brief four months in stainless steel and is etched and linear. It’s an important production of 700,000 bottles. This is a versatile and well-priced bottle. (Monica Larner)
