Laurent-Perrier Harmony | Demi-Sec Champagne NV / 750 ml.

Item#: 82957

WS9090 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2013
A heady style of Champagne, this uses sweetness to bring up the fruit flavors, so it tastes like an off-dry riesling on limestone. The scents bring ginger and cider apple, while the finish is richer, with flavors of peaches and cream. It ends with enough acidity to match a fruit and cheese plate.
SP8888 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2017
Lightly sweet and smoky, with tangy acidity enlivening flavors of white peach puree, pink grapefruit granita and pineapple pâte de fruit. Drink now. 500 cases imported.

Bring on the bubbly! Perhaps no other wine region in the world has the name recognition of Champagne, to the point where people often mistakenly use the word "Champagne" to describe any sparkling wine. Yet only wines produced within the region can legally be called "Champagne," and to this day it produces some of the finest sparkling wines known to earth.

Country / France

View more wines from France

The French did not invent winemaking. They simply perfected it. For centuries, France has been producing wines that inspire poetry, awe, and wonder; wines that blur the lines between nature, craftsmanship, cuisine and art. These are the wines that inspired cultures around the globe to follow in France’s footsteps, planting Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Grenache, Merlot, Semillon and more.

Yet as often as they are emulated, the magic of their terroirs can never be duplicated. You may taste Cabernet from around the world, but perhaps none as elegant and regal as Bordeaux. You may try Pinot Noir or Chardonnay from various climates, but none with the earth-bound soul and ethereal reach of Burgundy.

Ayala’s NV Brut Majeur is a solid entry-level wine. Dried pear, hazelnut, spice and licorice notes open up in a pretty, toasted NV Champagne to drink now and over the next few years. The Pinot comes through loud and clear in the wine’s breadth and overall texture. Disgorged: February 2015.
SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2023
A firm, linear Champagne, with a fine, lively mousse and chiseled acidity defining flavors of ripe cherry, preserved lemon, white blossoms, chalk and ground ginger. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Disgorged October 2022. Drink now. 5,000 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)
WS9090 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2013
Luscious ripeness lends this wine a quince-like flavor, feeling round and generous against the chalky briskness of Champagne. For all its fruitiness, this is dry, firm and grounded, a clean aperitif or a first-course wine for a rabbit terrine.
WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2018
The nonvintage cuvée from this producer, this bottling exemplifies the drier style that’s the firm’s hallmark. It is elegant, a fruity wine that is also crisply textured. Drink now.
SP8989 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2018
This balanced Champagne offers a creamy bead and a fresh mix of ground white pepper, ginger, Red Delicious apple, biscuit and citrus peel flavors. Disgorged July 2017. Drink now. 3,500 cases imported.
RP8888 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 1st Dec 2010
The NV Brut Majeur shows lovely balance in an approachable, up-front style well-suited to near-term drinking. Clean, mineral notes add a sense of proportion on the fresh, vibrant finish. The blend is 45% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier, 80% of which is from the 2004 vintage, while the rest of the wine is composed of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay reserve wines. Disgorged January, 2010. Anticipated maturity: 2010–2014.

JD9090 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 4/9/2020
Another outstanding effort from this estate is the NV Brut Reserve. Lightly hued with a crisp bouquet of crushed citrus, golden apples, and toasted brioche, it has medium-bodied richness, crisp acids, a great mousse, and shows a clean, precise vibe on the finish. It brings serious acidity yet still stays nicely balanced. It’s going to evolve for a solid decade. (Jeb Dunnuck)
SP8989 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 6, 2022
There's a chalky edge to the flavors of crunchy green pear, chopped almond, lemon pith and spring blossoms on display in this firm Champagne. Moderate finish. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Drink now. 20,000 cases made, 2,000 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)
RP8888 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 23rd Sep 2021
The latest rendition of Palmer’s NV Brut Réserve is quite reserved out of the gates, unwinding with notes of crisp orchard fruit, citrus zest and fresh bread. Medium to full-bodied, taut and tangy, with bracing acids and a pinpoint mousse, it’s not quite as generous as its immediate predecessors have been.

WS9292 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2010
A luscious, creamy chardonnay Champagne, this starts off with smoke and almond notes before rounding a corner toward ripe peach and lemon zest flavors. The earthy, pithy fruit character powers on through the finish, ready to take on Dungeness crab.
WS9292 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2008
The current release of Carte Blanche is a blend of 2005 and 2004, half and half. The two vintages seem to augment each other in a fragrant, fresh chardonnay. It has pretty floral scents from beginning to end, the dosage making the lemon blossom fruit seem more generous and mouthwatering. A hint of fennel in the end suggests a bridge to a crabmeat and endive salad.
RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Dec 2008
Smoke, graphite, roasted nuts and flowers flow from the NV Brut Carte Blanche from Jean Milan. The wine shows lovely complexity in the tertiary aromas and flavors that have developed in bottle, with superb clarity and a rewarding, generous personality. The January 2007 disgorgement is 2003 and 2004 Ojer juice, with 10 grams of dosage. Anticipated maturity: 2008–2011.
WS9191 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2007
A discreet Champagne, this has delicate lemon-lime and ginger scents over a background of sweet cream. There’s mouthwatering briskness to counteract the sweetness, leaving a sense of complexity and finesse.
SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2010
Firm acidity provides good intensity and structure, with an excellent frame for the core of spiced pear, acacia blossom, white peach and lemon curd flavors. A bright, fresh wine, with a long, mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2012.
SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2009
A taut, focused Champagne, this evokes peach and grapefruit, with a hint of vanilla. It’s matched to an elegant frame and a supple texture, with nice subtle length. Drink now through 2011.
WS8989 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2006
Exuberant fresh apple flavors come up against the youthfully blunt talc of the lees. Together the fruit and lees leave a gingery impression that should develop more depth with another year in bottle.
ST8787 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2006
Pale yellow. Fresh citrus and pear aromas are nicely accented by fresh herbs and white flowers. Intense, nicely focused citrus flavors are firmed by juicy acids and complicated by a note of acacia honey that carries through the finish.

RP92+92+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Jun 2018
The NV Blanc de Blancs (tasted from the 0.75-liter bottle) is a pure Chardonnay sourced in the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims and is a blend of the 2005, 2006 and 2008 vintages. The cuvée (Lot L107A8) opens with a clear, fresh and intense bouquet of ripe fruits and some chalky flavors. Full-bodied, terribly fresh and with good grip and tension, this is a persistent, salty-mineral and still a bit nervous Blanc de Blancs with good aging potential. (The magnum sells for $1,500.) Tasted April 2018.
SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Aug 24, 2017
A bright blanc de blancs, with a crisp and lacy mousse, this offers notes of crunchy pear, ground ginger and lemon pith. Offers a clean-cut finish, showing minerally hints of smoke and spice. Drink now through 2020. (Alison Napjus)

VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2020
The NV Extra-Brut Cuvée No. 742 (2014 base) has really opened up since I last tasted it about a year ago. The Pinot is so expressive in the No. 742, a Champagne built on texture and resonance. Dried pear, dried flowers, plum and spice fill out the wine’s frame effortlessly, but the 742 truly shines with a bit of air, which seems to accent its freshness. Readers looking for a fine grower Champagne to drink now will find much to like. The blend is 59% Pinot Noir (from Aÿ, Dizy and Hautvillers) and 41% Chardonnay (from Avize and Oiry). Disgorged January 2019. Dosage is 1.5 grams per liter.
WE9494 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2011
Based on the 2006 vintage, this current release of Jacquesson’s nonvintage wine has richness and power, while tight acidity surrounds the core of pear and pineapple fruits. The touch of steel gives a great final bite.
RP93+93+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Aug 2019
Based on the 2014 vintage and disgorged with 1.5 grams per liter dosage in July 2018, Jacquesson’s NV Extra Brut Cuvée No. 742 continues the house’s pioneering series of cuvées that employ reserve wines not in pursuit of a constant “house style” but merely with the aim of complementing each base vintage to maximize its potential. Wafting from the glass with a complex bouquet of walnut oil, dried white flowers, saffron, citrus oil and crisp orchard fruit, along with a delicate top note of fino sherry, it’s medium to full-bodied, sapid and incisive, with superb concentration, racy acids and a long, resonant finish. I found it irresistible.
SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2019
A creamy and harmonious version, with a fragrant skein of spice that unwinds through flavors of raspberry tart, lemon pastry cream, lime blossom and candied ginger. Lightly mouthwatering on the lingering, spiced finish. Disgorged July 2018. Drink now through 2024. 19,000 cases made, 800 cases imported.
SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2010

The NV Champagne Brut Rose is an attractive pale salmon hue, with a fresh perfume of wild strawberry, ripe peach, white and red flowers, a hint of tropical fruit, and grapefruit. The palate is rounded, with fruit up front and through the mid-palate, and it has a silky and fresh lift. There is a wonderful ease and drinkability to this wine, which delivers balance and finesse. Drink 2022-2037. (Audrey Frick)
WE9494 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2013
Such an elegant, ethereal wine, this orange-pink wine is dry and crisp with fruity raspberry flavor at the fore. This particular bottling could improve for a year, but makes a great food Champagne now.
JS9393 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Tuesday, December 5, 2023
Pale salmon color, showing notes of sliced strawberries, apples, grapefruit and crushed biscuits. Sleek, dry and fresh, with tight bubbles and a very clear finish. Base wine from 2020 with 46% reserve wine. 45% chardonnay, 35% pinot noir and 20% meunier, of which about 7% is red wine. Drink now. (James Suckling)
SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2016
A lovely rosé in an almost vinous style, with mouthwatering acidity and a fine, lacy mousse carrying appealing flavors of ripe raspberry, white cherry fruit, star anise, mandarin orange peel and honeysuckle. Lightly chalky on the lasting finish. Enjoy with food. Drink now through 2020.
SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2022
This mouthwatering rosé Champagne shows lacy texture and precise balance, with the well-honed acidity deftly knit to the subtle, chalky minerality and delicate range of nectarine, white cherry, slivered almond and pickled ginger notes. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Drink now. (Alison Napjus)
ST9292 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2013
Light orange. Vibrant strawberry and orange zest aromas are complicated by notes of tea rose, smoky lees and chalky minerals. Bright, incisive red fruit flavors pick up a toasty nuance with air. Fresh, incisive and refreshingly tangy, with impressive finishing clarity and stony persistence.
ST9191 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2006
Pale, orange-tinged pink. Vibrant, spicy aromas of orange peel, ruby-red grapefruit and floral honey. Focused and pure, with juicy orange and tangy rhubarb flavors and a lush, velvety texture. This is weightier than previous bottlings of this cuvee, but has the usual precision and lift expected by long-time fans of this rose. Finishes with juicy citrus flavors and a late mineral jolt.
RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 1st Dec 2010
The NV Brut Rosé emerges from the glass with the essence of freshly cut flowers, berries and minerals in a mid-weight, gracious style. It shows gorgeous inner perfume, along with persistent notes of chalkiness that frame the long, sublime finish. Year in, year out, this estate’s NV Brut Rosé is one of the most consistently outstanding wines in the region.

Vivid yellow. Powerful, mineral-accented orchard fruits and Meyer lemon the nose, with a sexy floral nuance adding complexity. Stains the palate with concentrated pear, melon and lemon curd flavors, with a smoky, leesy quality building with aeration. Surprisingly lively for its depth of flavor thanks to bright, nervy acidity and a chalky quality. Closes long and toasty, with excellent clarity and lift.
SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2023
A mouthwatering Champagne, with a delicate, lacy mousse, this offers an expressive, well-meshed range of black currant and apricot fruit, pink grapefruit pith and grated ginger accents, plus hints of oyster shell and chalk. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Drink now through 2028. 3,750 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)
WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 6/1/2017
This nonvintage cuvée sums up the Gosset style in its precise texture and crisp, taut acidity. A blend of fruit from the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, it shows some attractive maturity. Given its balanced, perfumed aftertaste and great fruitiness, this is a Champagne to drink now.
WS9292 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2008
Opulent Champagne, this is saturated with ripe fruit, from white peach to white raspberry and lime. It’s gloriously heady, yet the acidity keeps it clear and aligned. Old fashioned rococo elegance.
SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2018

Laurent-Perrier has always preferred to keep its prestige cuvée as a nonvintage blend. With eight years aging after bottling and plenty of reserve wines in the blend, it is a mature wine that is yeasty and toasty in character. To go with that, there is great fruit from the blend that only comes from grand cru vineyards. It’s ready to drink.
SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2013
A subtle version, focused more on delicate acidity and texture than the finely layered flavors of creamed apple, marzipan, pastry dough and black currant, with hints of lemon curd and ground spice. Delivers a lasting, smoke-tinged finish. Drink now through 2020. 300 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)

Bright yellow-gold. A heady, mineral-tinged bouquet evokes dried pear, buttery brioche, lemon curd and anise, plus a smoky topnote. Chewy and expansive on the palate, offering concentrated orchard and pit fruit flavors and a touch of bitter quinine. The smoky note repeats on the finish, which shows impressive clarity and mineral-driven persistence.

Vivid orange-pink. An expressive, spice-accented bouquet evokes fresh raspberry, orange pith, white flowers and ginger, with a hint of rhubarb adding an earthy flourish. Sappy and broad in the mouth, offering intense red fruit and bitter citrus flavors underscored by chalky mineral and white pepper notes. Rich yet lively rosé with excellent closing thrust and floral persistence.

An elegant version, sleek and satiny, with a subtle entry for flavors of creamed cherry and raspberry puree, almond biscotti, fleur de sel and pink grapefruit zest, but gains momentum and breadth on the palate. Lingering, minerally finish. Drink now through 2026. (Alison Napjus)
SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 15, 2021
Baked cherry and strawberry fruit flavors are ripe and juicy in this bright rosé, underscored by minerally smoke and chalk accents. (Alison Napjus)
SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2018
Firm and finely knit, this offers richness in a sleek frame, with crushed raspberry, blood orange peel, smoke and toasted almond notes set on the satiny mousse. The finish echoes subtle saffron and spice accents. Drink now through 2022. 9,600 cases imported.
RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Apr 2019
The latest iteration of Laurent-Perrier’s NV Brut Cuvée Rosé is showing brilliantly, bursting from the glass with notes of smoky red berry fruit, apples, blood orange, pomegranate and warm biscuits. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, broad and vinous, with a delicate mousse, good depth at the core and ripe acids, concluding with a sapid, gently phenolic finish. This is a sophisticated, gastronomic rosé that would work well at table.
WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2004
Starts off toasty and citrusy, then seems to add weight and size in the glass, adding layers of cherry-berry fruit and a hint of dark chocolate. It ends up being a big, broad shouldered wine you could pair with main-course meats.
WS8787 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2006
Soft red fruit flavors of strawberry and red currant infuse this rich wine, fatty as the crab and watermelon salad with which you might serve it.

While still young, this Champagne has all the makings of greatness. Produced from grand cru vineyards, it already balances ripe white fruits with a firm structure that will age well. It’s relatively dry and has plenty of acidity, which will also aid in the longevity. Drink from 2022.
JS9595 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, September 2, 2019
This is a solid and very dense Champagne with a phenolic and rich texture. Layers of cooked apples and light lemon rind. Brioche and light pie-crust in the aftertaste. Fresh and relatively dry aftertaste.
SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2019
A finely knit Champagne, defined by well-cut acidity that frames notes of Asian pear, white cherry, slivered almond and fleur de sel. The mousse shows a lovely creamy viscosity. Hints of citrus and spice emerge on the finish. Drink now through 2028. 1,000 cases imported.

The 2008 Brut Millésimé opens in the glass with lovely aromas of lemon oil, green apple, warm biscuits, iodine and mandarin. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and seamless, with an elegantly layered core, a fine, pinpoint mousse and racy balancing acids, concluding with a long and incipiently biscuity finish. This is a classy vintage Champagne that will develop beautiful complexity in the cellar.
VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Jul 2019
The 2008 Brut Millésimé is a gorgeous wine that expresses all of the pedigree of the vintage beautifully. Complex and nuanced, with tons of class, the 2008 has so much to offer. Dried pear, mint, chamomile, crushed rock, dried flowers and pastry overtones are all laced together in this finely-knit, resonant Champagne. At $75.00 a bottle, Laurent-Perrier’s Brut Millésimé is one the best widely available vintage Champagne readers find from this historic harvest.
