From the Producer

The assemblage is predominantly Pinot Meuniers (75–80%), while the rest is Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. This champagne is generous, its delicate bubbles are never intrusive, the mouth is fruity, with great persistence and very elegant. It totally reflects the discreet dimension expected from a premier cru.

Where It's From

Region / Champagne

View more wines from Champagne

Bring on the bubbly! Perhaps no other wine region in the world has the name recognition of Champagne, to the point where people often mistakenly use the word "Champagne" to describe any sparkling wine. Yet only wines produced within the region can legally be called "Champagne," and to this day it produces some of the finest sparkling wines known to earth.

Country / France

View more wines from France

The French did not invent winemaking. They simply perfected it. For centuries, France has been producing wines that inspire poetry, awe, and wonder; wines that blur the lines between nature, craftsmanship, cuisine and art. These are the wines that inspired cultures around the globe to follow in France’s footsteps, planting Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Grenache, Merlot, Semillon and more.

Yet as often as they are emulated, the magic of their terroirs can never be duplicated. You may taste Cabernet from around the world, but perhaps none as elegant and regal as Bordeaux. You may try Pinot Noir or Chardonnay from various climates, but none with the earth-bound soul and ethereal reach of Burgundy.

Spice and graphite accents are an aromatic thread winding through notes of ripe pear, candied pink grapefruit zest and lime blossom in this balanced Champagne enlivened by lip-smacking acidity. Zippy. Drink now through 2022. 40 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)

RP91+91+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 23rd Sep 2021
Disgorged in spring 2020 with 4.5 grams per liter, the new NV Brut Ultradition exhibits aromas of toasted bread, honeycomb and golden orchard fruit. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, girdled by incisive acids and enlivened by a pinpoint mousse. Expect more complexity to emerge with a bit more age on cork. As in its extra-brut counterpart, domaine fruit is supplemented by some 40% purchased must in this bottling.

This lively Champagne is bright and balanced, with spicy mineral and graphite accents underscoring the poached pear, crushed black currant, toast and grated ginger notes. Crisp and lingering. Zesty finish. Drink now. 8,350 cases made, 500 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)

A crisp Champagne, with a salty, minerally underpinning to the flavors of crunchy pear, white peach, lemon pith and spring blossom. The firm, chalk-tinged finish is moderate in length. Drink now. 8,000 cases made, 1,000 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)
