Why Can't We Ship This Item?
Either the bottle is too large for our packaging (i.e. we cannot ship anything larger than 750 ml), the dimensions/shape of the bottle doesn't fit within our packaging for safe shipment, or this is a widely-distributed wine (e.g. Barefoot, Yellow Tail, etc) which we only sell at our physical store or for in-store pickup.

Where It's From
Region / California
When it comes to US wine production, California is King. California wines account for almost 90% of all wines produced in the United States each year, and is home to the most celebrated vineyards and producers in the country. California is probably best known for its world-famous Cabernets and Chardonnays, many of which hail from its two most-acclaimed AVAs, Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Other prominent grapes used in California wines include Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, and Zinfandel (which California made popular).

Dried apple and peach with some flowers. Cooked apple, too. Full-bodied with a solid core of fruit and a compact, focused structure. Tight at the end. Shows intensity. One for the cellar. Drink or hold.
The 2020 Chardonnay Luminus is bright and also a bit nervous in feel. Lemon peel, mint, white pepper and floral accents are nicely delineated. The 2020 is an attractive wine, but it is a touch austere and lacking in depth in my view. The challenges of the year are impossible to fully escape. (Antonio Galloni)
Beringer’s 2020 Chardonnay Luminus is a barrel-fermented wine made in older oak and at cooler temperatures. Aimed at being a stylistic counterpart to the richer, more opulent Private Reserve style, it certainly does that, but it’s a less interesting wine. Lemon and pear notes appear on the nose of this medium-bodied effort that’s appealingly silky but not terribly generous or long. (Joe Czerwinski)
