Truchard’s 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is gently herbal, with hints of thyme to go along with black olives and black cherries. It’s medium to full-bodied, silky, streamlined and direct, with more of a straight-line personality than an expansive one, but it would go nicely with a rare steak off the grill. And it’s a notable value, as delicious Napa Cabs under $50 have become an endangered species. (Joe Czerwinski)
