From the Producer

The 2015 vintage brings us a dark and brooding wine from a trio of vineyards in Wahluke Slope AVA. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 25% new French oak, shows deep black fruit notes of cassis accented with tobacco, coffee grounds and warm earth. The palate is rich and well structured and then gives way to a lengthy finish of sage and blackberry.

"The fruit for this wine comes from Purple Sage and Wahluke Slope vineyards. A bit reduced out of the gate, it reveals black cherry, blackberry and herb notes as it opens. The palate shows pleasing balance, with fruit and barrel notes that intertwine on the smoky finish. A squeeze of tannin holds it all together." (88 pts.)
