Youthful, firm and well-balanced with notes of black cherries, blackcurrants, pine cones and dark chocolate on the nose. Linear and clear-cut, with a full body and just-ripe black fruit, framed by firm, fine tannins. Drink from 2024. (James Suckling)

The deep ruby/plum-hued 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley checks in as a mix of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Malbec from a mix of sites spread throughout the Columbia Valley. It’s a rather sweetly fruited, simple wine offering plenty of currant, chocolate, and tobacco aromas and flavors, medium body, and a clean, supple, enjoyable style best enjoyed over the coming 4–6 years. RP9898 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 11th May 2023
The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a lush, silky, rich, round nose with fresh and ripe notes that seduce and delight. Full-bodied, fresh and yet still tight, the wine offers a balanced structure and lifting tannins that elevate the mid-palate followed by juicy, fruit-forward layers and delightful oak spices. The Cabernet continues to show its depth and breadth, compounding its natural beauty. The Cabernet lingers on the ever-evolving, food-friendly finish and will benefit from another two years of bottle aging. The wine rested for 22 months in 100% new French oak. 5,450 cases produced. The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley opens slowly. At first dark and understated, it gains lovely floral perfumes with each passing swirl of the glass, as rose-tinged black raspberries evolve, laced with nuances of sandalwood, lavender and dark, dark chocolate. This floods the palate with an elegant wave of ripe red and black fruits complemented by sweet exotic spice, all expertly lifted by a core of zesty acidity. The 2020 leaves balsamic nuances, with clove and cherry liquor, while tapering off lightly structured with fine yet silky tannins. The balance and energy here is remarkable for such a powerful young wine. The 2020 hails from 90% Champoux to 10% Mach One Vineyard’s. (Eric Guido)

This compelling red is rich and polished yet impeccably structured, offering expressive blackberry, espresso and clove flavors that build tension and texture toward refined tannins. Drink now through 2034. 5,450 cases made. (Tim Fish)

Made with 6% Merlot, 3% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a rich, lively, expressive nose of black raspberry, oak and red florals that sway with sweet herbs and elegant baking spices. Full-bodied, fresh and still tannic, the wine will take a couple more years to come around but will be a juggernaut once it picks up momentum. After spending almost two years in 87% new French oak barrels, it will need some time, so be patient. (Anthony Mueller)

Aromatically, this Cabernet Sauvignon, which includes small amounts of Merlot and Malbec, is one big black cherry, with traces of earth and tomato leaf. Dark plum and saline flavors are joined by a touch of roast pork and a lot of wood spice. Might work nicely with a bánh mì packed with Vietnamese ham. (Michael Alberty)

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with mentholated freshness that gives way to grilled herbs and hints of black currant. This flows across the palate with ease, silky yet sincere, with crisp black fruits and saline minerality that adds unexpected depth. It tapers off a bit shorter than anticipated but still satisfies, leaving a bitter blackberry tinge. (Eric Guido)

A rich blackberry and boysenberry aromatic combination is complemented by a wisp of mocha latte. The wine’s dark chocolate-covered black cherry and vanilla flavors coat the palate in delicious fashion, with modest acidity and velvety tannins providing a plush sipping experience. Try this Cub with a nice bowl of ragù over polenta. (Michael Alberty)

This full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon begins with rich, sweet aromas that combine ripe raspberries and a chocolate milkshake. The theme continues on the palate when sweet cherries unite with chocolate-covered toffee flavors. This is big and rich, with brawny tannins providing an adequate frame. (Michael Alberty)

The Bolt is made predominantly with fruit from own-rooted vines growing at approximately 1,200 feet above sea level in the Goose Mountain block of Goose Ridge Ranch. It is graceful and balanced, with juicy acidity, sturdy tannic structure and restrained alcohol. With its aromas and flavors of Bing cherries, salted black licorice, orange blossoms, freshly cut grass and a savory note of pan-seared steak with fresh rosemary, this is a stunning value. The best cake in the world does not smell as good as this wine’s lemon zest, honeysuckle and peach tart aromas. There’s also a hint of sweetness on the palate, with lemon drop hard candies mixing with peach cotlets and the tangy botanicals of a gin and tonic. (Michael Alberty)

Generous in its dark plummy fruit and coffee’d oak frame, this merlot has a pleasing austerity to its firm dried-berry depths. It needs food; pour with a steak.
