Cabernet Sauvignon is commonly known as the king of red wines, and produces some of the most sought-after wines in the world, from Red Bordeaux (principally the Médoc and Graves appellations) to the resplendent reds of California's Napa Valley.

Arguably the most successful red grape in the history of winemaking, its popularity continues to boom, with new plantings in top quality regions such as Argentina, Chile and South Africa. Even in Italy, where the focus is on traditional Italian varieties, Cabernet-based “Super Tuscan” blends such as Sassicaia are ranked among their most highly prized wines.

  3. Dead Canyon Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon

    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#92982

    RP8989 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 22nd Oct 2020
A juicy display of blackberry reduction, dark cherry and plum with a streak of baking spices and vanilla all merge with aromas of chocolate ganache, which fill the glass of the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Dead Canyon Ranch. Medium to full-bodied, flavors of juicy plum, cocoa nibs and black raspberry fill the palate with a balanced frame, before ending with a lingering, dark-berried and juicy finish. It’s a delightful wine at a keen price. Give it a try.
    WE8686 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 5/1/2020
The aromas offer notes of smoke, black currant, green pepper and plum. Sweet matchstick and plum flavors follow, backed by tightly coiled, slightly dry tannins. Give it a short decant if drinking in the near term.

  15. Tarot Les Amoureux Cabernet Sauvignon

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#91247

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2017
Blended of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller portions of Petit Sirah, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the 2015 Tarot Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet-purple color and exuberant nose of warm plums, crushed cherries and crème de cassis with touches of Indian spices, fragrant earth and violets with a waft of lavender. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it fills the palate with black berry and earthy layers, finishing with the lovely velvety texture paving the way.
    JD9191 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - December 29, 2017
The 2015 Tarot Cabernet Sauvignon offers more black cherry, spice and hints of toast, as well as medium to full-bodied richness and a tighter, more focused, concentrated style. It’s terrific now but should evolve gracefully.
