    2011 / 375 ml. | Item#93741

    SP9595 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2020
A nutty, succulent style, this features apricot, caramel, brown butter and walnut aromas and flavors. Beautifully balanced, with bracing acidity countering the oily texture. Wonderful harmony and length. Drink now through 2032. 750 cases made, 300 cases imported.
    VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2019
The 2011 Vin Santo del Chianti Classico is laced with the essence of dried orange peel, dried flowers, hazelnut, spice, burnt sugar and caramel. Creamy, expressive and wonderfully giving, the 2011 hits all the right notes. This is a super-classic Vin Santo made from white grapes.

  7. Château Rieussec Sauternes

    2016 / 375 ml. | Item#95620

    JD9797 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 2/28/2019
A step up over the Carmes de Rieussec, the beautiful 2016 Château Rieussec has remarkable purity and freshness while still packing beautiful depth of fruit. Honeyed peach, apricot, flower oil, and even a hint of wet stone all emerge from this full-bodied, thick, opulent effort. I love it. It has a rounded, sexy style ideal for drinking any time over the coming 15-20 years. The 2016 is a final blend of 83% Sémillon, 12% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Muscadelle.
    JS9797 pts. - - Sunday, February 3, 2019
So much botrytis on the nose with spice, dried mushrooms and nutmeg. Dried lemons and mangoes. Full-bodied and medium sweet with density and, at the same time, lightness. I like that it is full of botrytis on the palate at the beginning and then turns fruity and very pretty at the end with citrus and fruit. Balanced, creamy and rich. Try after 2024, but already gorgeous.
    RP96+96+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Mar 2019
Pale lemon colored, the 2016 Rieussec comes sashaying out of the glass with a beautiful floral and citrus perfume of orange blossom, pink grapefruit, yuzu, lime leaves, lemongrass and fallen leaves with hints of nutmeg and candied ginger. Having shed a lot of the puppy fat from when I last tasted this from barrel, the palate reveals loads of elegant, tightly wound layers and seamless freshness, finishing long and fragrant.
    VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2020
The 2016 Rieussec has plenty of botrytis on the nose, along with scents of honey, white peach, saffron, lanolin and walnut that gain intensity with aeration. The very well balanced palate presents a viscous opening and a fine bead of acidity. Generous and poised, with hints of marzipan and Turkish Delight decorating the finish. Excellent. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2019
Quite fresh, with acacia and honeysuckle notes out front, followed by a stream of mirabelle plum, yellow apple, pineapple and white peach flavors. Offers an unctuous feel on the finish while staying on the brighter side. Among the top efforts in the vintage. Best from 2022 through 2035. 500 cases made.

  9. Clos Haut-Peyraguey Sauternes

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#95621

    JS9595 pts. - - Monday, February 5, 2018
This young Sauternes shows beautiful richness and ripeness with mango, pineapple and peach character. Full-bodied, layered and gorgeous. So refined and complex. Love the harmony and depth. Always so refined. Such beauty. Drink or hold.
    VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2018
The 2015 Clos Haut-Peyraguey is much more delicate in bottle than it was from barrel. Floral and lifted, with pretty mango, pineapple, apricot and yellow flower nuances, the 2015 is absolutely striking in its beauty. Above all else, what I admire about the Clos Haut-Peyraguey is the expression of richness with no excess weight. This beautifully layered, polished Sauternes is a winner from Bernard Magrez.
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Mar 31, 2018
A broad, unctuous style, with creamed mango and papaya notes that impart a tropical feel, while light green tea, honeysuckle and singed almond notes help this along. Long glazed peach echo on the finish. Drink now through 2037. 1,608 cases made.
    WE9393 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 9/1/2018
Poised between crispness and richness, this is a well-balanced wine. With touches of spice as well as fragrant honey and orange-marmalade flavors, the wine is already delicious. It also will age well, with a ripe, generous future. Drink the wine from 2023.

  10. Kourtaki Samos

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#52973

    SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2013
Presents heady aromas and flavors of ripe peach, dried apricot, fig and spice. Honey and smoke accents envelop the rich and creamy finish, which lingers with luscious sweetness and tropical fruit details. Drink now through 2024. 300,000 cases made.
    WE8787 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/15/2008
An appetizing dessert wine with a nose of lemon poppyseed cake, orange rind and honey. On the palate, honeyed citrus pours over the tongue in a viscous wave. Sweetness balanced by fresh acidity and crisp lemon and orange flavors keeps the wine from being cloying. A friendly, balanced treat at a reasonable price.
    WS8686 pts. - Wine & Spirits - August 1, 2013
Golden and heavy with candied orange peel and honey notes, this is thick and simple, affordable enough to pour over peaches this summer.

  15. Hermann J. Wiemer Late Harvest Riesling

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#75648

    WS9494 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 08/21
This may be late harvest, but to taste it is to encounter impressions that run dry and fruity, lean and tropical, salty and sweet. Multiple vineyards (Josef, HJW, Magdalena and Standing Stone) and multiple picks are involved, resulting in a range of flavors and shades with which to blend, which is why the wine’s essence seems to vacillate, walking a line of citrus and nectarine and pear, a hint of saffron and honey, a whiff of phenolics in a mild bite. It’s a marvel of balance and poise, such that the very use of the word “late” is a misnomer: everything seems to be right on time, right where it should be.
    RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 22nd Apr 2021
The 2019 Riesling Late Harvest comes in with 54 grams of residual sugar and 8.7% alcohol. What in the world did this wine do with all that sugar? Oh it’s there, especially on the finish and as it airs out and warms up, but this seems to be relatively — I repeat, relatively — dry for a wine that has that much sugar. This drinks beautifully. It is solid in mouthfeel, coats the palate and finishes well. I could find uses for it at the table — whether for light desserts or foods that blend well with an off-dry wine — but its highest and best use might be on its own. It’s pretty delicious, as well as nicely structured. There were 700 cases produced from grapes in the winery’s HJW, Josef and Standing Stone vineyards.
    WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 5/1/2021
Pristine aromas of candied citrus peels, ripe apple and peach echo on the luscious palate, where gobs of honey drizzle the fruit flavors. Laser-like acidity lends immense lift to it all, while a gentle creaminess resounds throughout. It shows wonderful purity and detail, and will hold up well in the cellar. Drink through 2030.
