  1. Lions de Suduiraut Sauternes

    2018 / 375 ml. | Item#99066

    WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 5/1/2021
This ripe, honey- and apricot-flavored wine has intensity as well as an already approachable character. The second wine of Suduiraut is rich, still hinting at freshness, with a dry edge from botrytis. Drink from 2023. (Roger Voss)

Aromas of dried figs, apricots, candied citrus, ginger and honeycomb. Sweet and luscious with spicy and toasty character. Bittersweet burnt-lemon notes on the finish. Drink or hold.

  4. Inniskillin Vidal Icewine

    Niagara Estate
    2019 / 375 ml. | Item#96737

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 13th May 2021
The 2019 Vidal Icewine comes in with 250 grams of residual sugar, 9.79 of total acidity and 9.5% alcohol. This was bottled in July 2020, the only bottling for this wine this year. The richest of the Vidal ice wines this issue, although only by a hair, this is intensely flavored and rather unctuous. As with its 2018 sibling, this has typical peach and apricot nuances. It shows off a lot of sugar. Part of that extra richness over the 2018 may be the perception created by this being a year younger, to be sure. For today, I like the balance on the 2018 better and give that the nod. This might well catch up in time. The difference between the two is not particularly great, despite rather different vintages.

  6. Oremus 5 Puttonyos Tokaj Aszú

    2010 / 500 ml. | Item#95498

    WE9595 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2019
Golden amber in the glass, this delightful Hungarian sweet wine has aromas of canned apricot, ripe peach and white flowers. In the mouth, there are flavors of lemon curd, peach and apricot, with nice heft and balance on the palate. Increased acidity keeps this wine absolutely delicious and not too sweet.
    SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2020
Like fine cashmere, this is richly plush in texture, yet remains weightless on the palate, where a tang of salinity and orange peel acidity freshens the expressive glazed apricot, passion fruit pâte de fruit and Marcona almond flavors. Exotic ground spice and perfumed floral notes create a heady, aromatic overtone on the lasting finish. Furmint, Hárslevelü, Zéta and Sárga Muskotály. Drink now through 2030. 1,583 cases made.

  9. Château Rieussec Sauternes

    2016 / 375 ml. | Item#95620

    JD9797 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 2/28/2019
A step up over the Carmes de Rieussec, the beautiful 2016 Château Rieussec has remarkable purity and freshness while still packing beautiful depth of fruit. Honeyed peach, apricot, flower oil, and even a hint of wet stone all emerge from this full-bodied, thick, opulent effort. I love it. It has a rounded, sexy style ideal for drinking any time over the coming 15-20 years. The 2016 is a final blend of 83% Sémillon, 12% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Muscadelle. (Jeb Dunnuck)

So much botrytis on the nose with spice, dried mushrooms and nutmeg. Dried lemons and mangoes. Full-bodied and medium sweet with density and, at the same time, lightness. I like that it is full of botrytis on the palate at the beginning and then turns fruity and very pretty at the end with citrus and fruit. Balanced, creamy and rich. Try after 2024, but already gorgeous.
    RP96+96+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Mar 2019
Pale lemon colored, the 2016 Rieussec comes sashaying out of the glass with a beautiful floral and citrus perfume of orange blossom, pink grapefruit, yuzu, lime leaves, lemongrass and fallen leaves with hints of nutmeg and candied ginger. Having shed a lot of the puppy fat from when I last tasted this from barrel, the palate reveals loads of elegant, tightly wound layers and seamless freshness, finishing long and fragrant.
    VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2020
The 2016 Rieussec has plenty of botrytis on the nose, along with scents of honey, white peach, saffron, lanolin and walnut that gain intensity with aeration. The very well balanced palate presents a viscous opening and a fine bead of acidity. Generous and poised, with hints of marzipan and Turkish Delight decorating the finish. Excellent. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2019
Quite fresh, with acacia and honeysuckle notes out front, followed by a stream of mirabelle plum, yellow apple, pineapple and white peach flavors. Offers an unctuous feel on the finish while staying on the brighter side. Among the top efforts in the vintage. Best from 2022 through 2035. 500 cases made.

  14. Feudo Montoni Passito Bianco

    NV / 375 ml. | Item#98922

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 18th Nov 2021
Packaged in 1,800 precious 375-milliliter bottles, the organic Feudo Montoni NV Passito Bianco is made with air-dried Grillo (80%) and Catarratto grapes (20%). It aged in wood for seven months. This pretty Sicilian dessert wine opens to dark golden color with bright amber highlights. The bouquet is exuberant and loud, with white raisin, honey, apricot and maple syrup. Those dried grape skin aromas from the appassimento process are the most pronounced. This is a luscious, full-bodied dessert wine. (Monica Larner)
    VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Jun 2021
The NV Feudo Montoni Bianco Passito blends Grillo and Catarratto to create a seductively tropical and exotic bouquet. Blood orange, candied ginger, peach preserves, mint and a hint of citrusy juniper waft up from the glass. It’s deeply textural and weighty yet also nicely balanced, contrasting both savory and sweet throughout with perfumed inner florals and salty minerals, mixing with ultra-ripe mango and hints of papaya. While long and staining, this leaves the palate remarkably fresh, blending an assortment of dried fruits with hazelnut richness and hints of coconut. There is so much pleasure to be found in this glass. (Eric Guido)
