A bright yellow colour with a green tint suggests freshness and complexity. The nose is fragrant with citrus blossom, pineapple, white peach and hints of honey. The palate is medium bodied, fresh and clean, revealing hints of waxy lanolin, apricot, and passion fruit. The acidity is long and fresh giving a refreshing length to the wine. This wine will continue to develop in depth and complexity with further cellaring for at least 8 years after vintage.
Western Cape
A vast majority of South African wine comes from its Western Cape region on the southwest tip of South Africa. Cooling waters flowing up from Antarctica moderate the climate of this region, making it perfect for growing grapes. You'll find lots of varietals to choose from here, including Cabernet Sauvignons, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, and on the white side Chardonnays and Chenin Blancs.
