"This spirit needs some time to open up, and then mild raisin and burnt-orange aromas peek through. Caramel flavors give over to a lingering smoky finish. The distiller claims that this blend is the only one created for mixing; surely it would be nice served tall, with lots of ice and ginger ale." (89 pts.)

"This mild-mannered, polite sipper is soft and silky, fragranced with honey and fresh pear. Flavors include vanilla and honey, relaxing into a baking-spice finish featuring nutmeg and cinnamon. Recommended for mixing." (89 pts.)
WE8989 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 9/1/2011 Outside of the green glass bottle, this Speyside blend is a soft, light gold. Toffee dominates the aroma, with a little smoke and citrus mixed in. On the palate, it’s sweet, light, caramelly, with a whiff of smoke on the finish, reminiscent of some Irish whiskies. Very pleasant sipping.
WE8787 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 11/15/2000 Pale gold in color; the nose is light and floral, with some subtle honey notes in the rear. The body is medium, and the palate, though simple in structure, is very well balanced, showing a hint of peat, a touch of honey and even a little leather thrown in for good measure. The finish is medium, and nicely spiced. This is a wonderful “on-the-rocks” bottling, a real deal at the price.
