View more wines from Veneto

Veneto, in northeastern Italy, is home to some of the most celebrated Italian wines, including Amarone red wines. The cities Verona and Venice fall within Veneto, and the areas surrounding Verona in western Veneto is where you'll find Amarone and Valpolicella production. Western Veneto also produces some fantastic white wines, like Soave. Meanwhile, the eastern part of Veneto has something worth celebrating, as well, as that's where Prosecco comes from.

Italy is famous for its powerful, sleek, and elegant reds wines from ancient growing areas with legendary names such as Chianti, Barolo, Barbaresco, Montepulciano. Italian white wines are also gaining popularity: Orvieto, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon are excellent examples of Italian white wines.

Wines of Italy are complex and flavorful, much like the culture that is their source and the cuisine that is their match.

RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Sep 2019
The 2011 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corte Brà is a blend of 50% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella and 5% Oseleta, and the grapes are dried in plastic bins for 90 days following the harvest. This expression from Sartori offers a complicated personality with a style that is somewhere between contemporary and traditional. The results are very beautiful. There is ample sweetness here (with eight grams per liter of residual sugar) that serves to balance out and soften the wine’s intense flavor profile. Dark fruit, exotic spice and mesquite smoke emerge from the bouquet. Some 35,000 bottles were made.
WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2019
Aromas of dried black-skinned berry, black pepper and underbrush emerge from the glass. The concentrated palate offers black-currant jam, steeped prune, licorice and baking spice alongside fine-grained tannins.

SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Apr 30, 2017
A savory, densely knit red, with a creamy mix of cured tobacco, forest floor, dried black currant and black cherry flavors, accented by hints of singed orange peel and oak spice. Grippy finish. Best from 2019 through 2022. 4,500 cases made.
VN8989 pts. - Vinous - May 2017
Very deep ruby. Reticent nose hints of dark cherry, coffee, cocoa, medicinal herbs and plenty of oak. Then brooding and rich, with juicy acidity lifting the subdued, chewy black cherry and spicy coffee flavors. Finishes long with a peppery edge. A very big, tannic wine, but doesn’t offer much in the way of fruit charm.
