Why Can't We Ship This Item?
Either the bottle is too large for our packaging (i.e. we cannot ship anything larger than 750 ml), the dimensions/shape of the bottle doesn't fit within our packaging for safe shipment, or this is a widely-distributed wine (e.g. Barefoot, Yellow Tail, etc) which we only sell at our physical store or for in-store pickup.

Officially established in 1982, the Finger Lakes region has a storied history of wine production in New York State and is recognized the world over. The deep glacially formed lakes offer sublime growing conditions thanks to the sloping hillsides and moderating effect the lakes have on the temperature of the surrounding area.
The main growing regions are centered around Cayuga Lake and Seneca Lake (which each have their own AVAs) but quality wine is being made throughout the region. Riesling is the belle of the ball in the Finger Lakes (oftentimes being compared to the Rieslings of Germany) but success has been had with Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and others.
Region / New York
Seeing as our store is located in the midst of New York's wine regions, we have a special affinity for New York wines. And so should you! New York is now producing some of the world's best Rieslings and Pinot Noirs, and there are lots of other terrific wines made from grapes like Catawba, Niagara, Cabernet Franc and others being produced here, as well. Every year, the quality, reputation, and demand for New York wines continue to soar. What are you waiting for? Uncork New York!

High-toned aromas of ripe pineapple, peach and melon burst from the glass, underpinned by salt and buttered toast. There’s an almost unexpected lift of razor-edged acidity on the palate. It’s tempered by textural, oak-influenced weight and tangy fruit. A solid, regional, food-friendly style. (Christina Pickard)

2020 / 750 ml.
This youthful dry riesling has a slew of floral and herbal nuances, together with delicate stone-fruit and wild-berry notes. So elegant, in spite of the full, juicy fruit on the palate. The long, wet-stone finish is racy and pristine. Made with grapes from the estate vineyard on Keuka Lake. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
The 2020 Dry Riesling Eugenia comes in with three grams of residual sugar against 6.9 of total acidity and 12.9% alcohol. This is a single-vineyard selection from 1968 vines on soils with high slate content. The winery calls it their best Riesling plot. This is a surprisingly friendly wine this year, perhaps typical of the vintage. Maybe one day it will close down, but not today. It is splendid, showing off fine depth, a fruity demeanor and respectable power. As fruity as it is, it shows off a little tension on the finish too. This is very accessible this year, but it’s still likely to improve in the cellar. The winery is a strong proponent of the 2020 vintage (and they aren’t the only ones), but as impressive as this is, and granting that both are not here together, I’d take the 2019 just now. That may be slower-developing, but in a few years, a comparison will be intriguing. They are both very fine.

2013 / 375 ml.
The 2013 Late Harvest Riesling comes in with 120 grams per liter of residual sugar and 11% alcohol. The winery said to think of it as a Beerenauslese style. About 85% of the grapes had botrytis. As delicious as this is, it is the acidity and balance that make it special, not the fruit and sugar per se. It begins with all of those peach and apricot nuances typical of the style, but then it actually gets drier in perception. The big finish is classic in flavor, but also special for its grip and persistence. Refined, transparent and fresh, it handles its richness brilliantly, never cloying for a second. It was one of my favorite dessert wines on my recent trip.
This is a wine with immense complexity — a wonderland of botrytis, pine, saffron, honey, peach, apricot and smoke, all in an intricate mélange. The flavors continue in a savory mode, like honey infused with garrigue herbs, but what will bring you to the next sip is the energy of the wine, its brisk, assertive movement, effortlessly supporting all the richness. An impressive performance to present at the end of the meal with goat cheese.
Wildflower honey and sun-kissed tangerines merge beautifully in this marmalade-toned Riesling. It’s lusciously sweet yet nuanced, dusted in saffron and spice and vivaciously spry. Sweet citrus flavors reverberate long on the finish.
Light yellow gold of medium intensity. A beguiling combination of white peaches, honey, lemon juice, and chamomile greets the nose. The palate is quite seamless, balancing its 120 grams per liter of residual sugar with a fine and sculpting acidity. Soft and appealing in the mouth, but with a stony depth that adds interest. Though decidedly sweet, there is enough freshness and structure to earn this wine a place on the dinner table, rather than the dessert cart.

Heady red fruit, spice and florals lead to a palate that’s light and crunchy with a cranberry tang and prominent but supportive, chalk-textured tannins. Drink now with a slight chill beside a plate of charcuterie. (Christina Pickard)
