Why Can't We Ship This Item?
Either the bottle is too large for our packaging (i.e. we cannot ship anything larger than 750 ml), the dimensions/shape of the bottle doesn't fit within our packaging for safe shipment, or this is a widely-distributed wine (e.g. Barefoot, Yellow Tail, etc) which we only sell at our physical store or for in-store pickup.

When it comes to US wine production, California is King. California wines account for almost 90% of all wines produced in the United States each year, and is home to the most celebrated vineyards and producers in the country. California is probably best known for its world-famous Cabernets and Chardonnays, many of which hail from its two most-acclaimed AVAs, Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Other prominent grapes used in California wines include Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, and Zinfandel (which California made popular).

Zotovich Vineyard Pinot Noir
2017 / 750 ml.
The 2017 Pinot Noir Seabiscuit Zotovich Vineyard comes from 17-year-old vines planted in diatomaceous earth and sandy loam, and the wine aged for 17 months in 60% new French oak. It’s medium ruby-purple in the glass and gives up wonderfully pure aromas of blueberries, spiced cranberry sauce, rhubarb, red cherry, raspberry and strawberry preserves, black cherries, peppered charcuterie, woodsmoke, dried rose petal and orange peel. Light to medium-bodied, it explodes in the mouth with flavor layers supported by firm, finely grained tannins and juicy freshness and finishes long, spicy and energetic. A powerful but elegant expression. 300 cases were made.
The 2017 Pinot Noir Seabiscuit is laced with crushed red berry, rose petal, mint and sweet spice. Airy and light on its feet, with tremendous perfume, the Seabiscuit is the most delicate and gracious wine in the range. The 2017 offers a super appealing mix of brightness and energy. Best of all, it will drink well upon release.

The 2017 Pinot Noir Estate offers savory, layred aromas of earth and laurel, charcuterie and orange peel, with amaro-laced red and black berries. The palate is grainy and fresh, with a kaleidoscope of spices and a very long finish. It’s incredibly appealing now but will benefit from a long decant. 963 cases produced.
The 2017 Pinot Noir is a very pretty, open-knit wine. Crushed rose petal, sweet red berry, mint, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco give the 2017 striking aromatic presence. In 2017, the Mount Eden Pinot is a decidedly forward, silky wine that looks like it will offer its best drinking sooner rather than later. The 2017 was done with 33% whole clusters and saw 50% new barrels.
There’s intense pine and redwood spice to the nose and palate of this bottling, which begins with aromas of cooked cranberry, vanilla and nutmeg. There’s a splash of acid on the tip of the sip, where smoked strawberry and grilled berry flavors meet with oregano and singed oak smoke.
Notes of cedar and wild spice accent the ripe, well-knit red berry, boysenberry and dark plum flavors. Coffeeberry accents chime in on the broad and juicy finish. Drink now through 2024. 999 cases made. (Kim Marcus)

A smoky beeswax note accents the core of apricot, ginger and pear flavors in this white, with hints of green tea and dried honeysuckle. Finds harmony on the finish, where a crisp thread of acidity emerges. Drink now. 18,185 cases made.
Blended with 15% Sémillon, this white is bright in lemon, stone and anise, yet full-bodied in weight and breadth. It has a grip on the palate that emphasizes its ultimate power and concentration of fruit.

2013 / 750 ml.
A cabernet with form, freshness and tension. Full body, tight and refined tannins and a black currant, blackberry and light chocolate aftertaste. Drink in 2018.
Tightly wound, with a muscular mix of lead pencil and graphite accenting the core of dense berry, earth, gravel and cedary oak notes. Slowly reveals black licorice, anise and savory herb flavors, but needs cellaring time. Best from 2019 through 2030. 18,302 cases made.
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is another succulent, expressive wine that should drink well with minimal cellaring. Mocha, plums, espresso, dark spices and menthol all meld together. This is an unusually open, juicy 2013 with plenty of flesh and near term appeal.
An easygoing, attractive 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville with a deep ruby/purple color, nice cedary wood notes, supple tannins and nice blackcurrant and black cherry fruit. Not terribly complex, but savory and delicious, it is best drunk over the next 10–15 years.

Aromas of dark berry, herb and cedar are raw and gritty on the palate, young and intense meaning it’s best to cellar short term in the hopes of a smoother texture. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2018 through 2028. 30,000 cases made.
Made from four Bordeaux red varieties, mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, this full-bodied wine is chalky in big-boned tannin and woody oak. Green olive, sagebrush and graphite accent blackberry and black cherry, with a rounded finish.

Lovely cabernet notes of bell pepper, blackcurrants, blackberry leaves and cassis, together with some cocoa powder. I like the freshness. Medium body and creamy, powdery tannins. Juicy and extremely drinkable. 80% cabernet sauvignon, the rest merlot, cabernet franc, petit verdot and some malbec. Drink from 2023.
The base 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is certainly impressive, and since there are roughly 90,000 cases, it’s an incredible achievement. Classic darker currants, tobacco leaf, truffly earth, and spicy oak all define the bouquet, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with ripe tannins, terrific balance, and outstanding length. Based off 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec, buy a case and enjoy bottles over the coming 10–15 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
A solid, forthright Cabernet, with cedar and warm stone notes framing the core of gently steeped black currant and blackberry fruit. Savory and loam accents flash through the finish. Drink now through 2030. 90,500 cases made. (James Molesworth)
This wine is weighty and ripe in style, with substantial earthiness and moderate complexity. Savory in character, it offers notes of cassis, toffee and toasted oak, finishing in a lingering sweetness. (Virginie Boone)

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is a step up and comes all from the To Kolan Vineyard in Oakville. It has a terrific array of cassis and caramelized cherry fruits intermixed with notes of flowers and tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, light on its feet, and wonderfully balanced, it offers more precision, purity, and class than the base Napa release and will keep for 10–15 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
Rich and seductive in feel, with a lovely swath of loamy-edged steeped plum and blackberry compote flavors, backed with flashes of anise and sweet bay leaf. A loamy edge extends nicely in lockstep with the fruit on the finish. Textbook Oakville Cabernet. Best from 2022 through 2034. 9,791 cases made. (James Molesworth)
