Why Can't We Ship This Item?
Either the bottle is too large for our packaging (i.e. we cannot ship anything larger than 750 ml), the dimensions/shape of the bottle doesn't fit within our packaging for safe shipment, or this is a widely-distributed wine (e.g. Barefoot, Yellow Tail, etc) which we only sell at our physical store or for in-store pickup.

When it comes to US wine production, California is King. California wines account for almost 90% of all wines produced in the United States each year, and is home to the most celebrated vineyards and producers in the country. California is probably best known for its world-famous Cabernets and Chardonnays, many of which hail from its two most-acclaimed AVAs, Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Other prominent grapes used in California wines include Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, and Zinfandel (which California made popular).

2016 / 750 ml.
Succulent dark cherry, tobacco, spice, cedar and leather flesh out in the 2016 Zinfandel Oakley Road Vineyard. Expressive aromatics give the wine shape and expansiveness that is matched by the raciness of the sweet, pliant fruit. Exuberant and forward, with terrific depth and fine balance, the Zinfandel is a winner from Joel Peterson.
From vines planted in the 1890s, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Zinfandel Oakley Road Vineyard rocks up with an incredibly spicy nose of cloves, cinnamon stick and anise over a core of prunes, raisin cake and sandalwood with a waft of potpourri. Medium to full-bodied, the palate explodes with berry preserves and exotic spices notes, with a lively line and chewy tannins, finishing with lingering dried fruit nuances. 150 cases produced.

This is a nicely made blend of Petite Sirah, Carignane, Zinfandel, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Barbera, defined by its generosity of power and tannin as well as a concentration of blackberry, Italian deli meat and leather.

2012 / 750 ml.
Powerful and deeply structured, with distinctive aromas of smoked pepper, black raspberry and fruitcake spices. The flavors balance ripe tannins and lively acidity, offering notes of blackberry, dark chocolate, licorice and mineral. Best from 2016 through 2024. 1,596 cases made.
From a famed old site planted to 75% Zinfandel and 25% mixed black-skinned varieties, this wine conveys a minty-eucalyptus quality that tunes the acidity high against a medium-weight body. Austere at first on the palate, it expands as it goes, offering robust, dry tannins and layers of cardamom and coffee with time and air.
