  1. Sella & Mosca Cannonau de Sardegna Riserva

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#77877

    VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2021
The 2018 Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva is a very pretty yet understated effort that slowly comes to life in the glass with a display of fresh roses, cardamom and wild strawberries. This is silky and cool-toned with a pure display of mineral-tinged red and blue fruits, gaining an inner sweetness toward the close. Round tannins mix with residual acids to create a push and pull of tension through the finale, as this tapers off to a flourish of violets and spice. The 2018 is a wonderfully harmonious and pure expression of Cannonau.
    SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 31, 2021
A fresh and elegant red that draws you in with an enticing nose of dried flowers and spices, layering notes of pureed raspberry, dried cherry, wild sage and citrus on the palate, with a subtle streak of salinity and light, supple tannins. Drink now through 2026. 47,000 cases made, 16,000 cases imported.

  2. Château Carbonnieux Blanc

    Grand Cru Classé de Graves
    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#95339

    WE9595 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 4/1/2021
Always a success, the releases of whites from this estate continue with this tight, textured, wood-aged and ripe wine. It is still young, balancing between citrus and crisp acidity, with a texture that will open as the wine ages. Drink from 2023.
    SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Mar 31, 2021
A brisk lemon pith note flanks a core of lemon curd, honeysuckle, tarragon, oyster shell and salted butter notes, with a hint of warm, herbed focaccia on the finish adding range and contrast. Delicious. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Drink now through 2026. 10,835 cases made.
    JD9292 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 3/11/2021
The top white, the 2018 Château Carbonnieux Blanc is largely Sauvignon with around one-quarter Sémillon. Lots of ripe lemon, leafy herb, rocky mineral, and a hint of white grapefruit emerge from the glass, and it’s medium-bodied, with bright yet integrated acidity and a great finish. It’s an outstanding, complex, interesting white that should have 4–6 years of prime drinking, probably longer.
    JS9292 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Wednesday, March 3, 2021
Whole lemon, green mango and bell pepper on the nose with a hint of chalk. It’s medium-bodied with bright acidity and a creamy, honeyed texture. Drink or hold.
    RP91+91–93 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 23rd Apr 2019
The Carbonnieux 2018 Blanc features intense lime juice, yuzu and green mango scents with touches of lemon curd and white pepper. Medium-bodied, very tightly wound and zesty in the mouth, it has a racy backbone and a mineral-laced finish.

  3. Ridge Geyserville

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#95081

    JS9494 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Tuesday, April 6, 2021
A beautiful red with lots of blackberries, cloves, stone, spice and purple fruit. It’s full and balanced with a creamy texture and a flavorful finish. Some graphite to the black fruit. More zin this year in the blend. 71% zinfandel, 19% carignan, 7% petite sirah and 3% alicante bouschet. Drink now.
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 30, 2021
Deeply structured, yet nimble on its feet. Blackberry, fresh fennel and brown baking spices build richness and layers toward medium-grained tannins. Zinfandel, Carignane, Petite Sirah and Alicante Bouschet. Drink now through 2030. 11,000 cases made.
    JD9292 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 7/22/2021
The 2019 Zinfandel Geyserville is 71% Zinfandel, 19% Carignan, and the rest Petite Sirah and Alicante Bouschet. This was a cooler vintage yet this wine reveals plenty of ripeness in its black and blue fruits as well as violets, cigar, and toasted spice-like aromas and flavors. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and expansive on the palate, it has some obvious minerality, building tannins, and a great finish. It’s not going to match the 2018, but it’s still a complete, nuanced, complex Zinfandel that will keep for 10–15 years.

  4. Rivers-Marie Panek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#94060

    VN9797 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2021
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Panek Vineyard dazzles from start to finish. Silky, plush tannins wrap around a core of red/purplish fruit as this opulent, full-throttle Cabernet opens in the glass. The Panek is a very typical Cabernet for this northern sector of St. Helena where the wines are plush and racy. All the elements come together so effortlessly. Bright acids and sweet floral overtones lift the finish. Best of all, the 2018 will be ready to deliver maximum pleasure pretty much upon release. This is the first year in which Rivers-Marie had access to all the fruit. I suspect being able to choose the best blocks explains much of the elevated quality here. In a word: stunning.
    JD95+95–98 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - January 31, 2020
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Panek Vineyard comes from a vineyard in St. Helena and is a more rounded, full-bodied, sexy 2018 that’s loaded with notions of cassis and assorted blue fruits as well as notes of spice, tobacco, and crushed rocks. It has plenty of tannins, yet they’re mostly buried by masses of fruit. This is a smoking barrel sample.
    SP9595 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2021
Shows the vivid yet restrained profile of the vintage, with a racy mix of cassis, plum and blackberry fruit flavors inlaid deftly with hints of loam, sweet tobacco and bitter sweet ganache. Stays fresh and driven through the finish, with the fruit and earth notes working in tandem. Best from 2022 through 2036. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 550 cases made.

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#83519

    WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 6/30/2021
Clos de los Siete almost never fails, and this version from a ripe and easy vintage is just that: ripe and easy. Inky blackberry and black currant aromas show a waft of campfire creosote, while this feels big and round, with plenty of mouth-blackening fruit. Oak-aided blackberry, cassis and chocolate flavors come with a hint of herbs, while the finish is smooth and mild. Drink through 2023.
    SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Sep 30, 2021
Dense and powerful, with plenty of loamy notes to the dark cherry and roasted plum flavors that show creamy accents. Ends with dark chocolate on the finish. Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2024. 650,000 cases made, 22,400 cases imported.

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#95650

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Oct 2020
The 2018 Chardonnay Seven Springs Vineyard has pretty aromas of elderflower, poached pears, quince and bakers yeast. In the mouth, it’s medium -bodied and satiny in texture, fleshing out to broad, savory tones and finishing long and fresh. Fruit for this cuvée comes from both the younger and older vines.
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Sep 30, 2021

  8. Boundary Breaks Vineyard Riesling Dry No. 239

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#80092

    RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 3rd Jun 2021
The 2019 Dry Riesling No. 239 comes in with eight grams of residual sugar, 7.8 of total acidity and 12.5% alcohol. There were 2,750 cases produced from vines planted in 2009, 2010 and 2017. Tight, transparent and pure, this elegant Riesling shows off lifted fruit and a lean but precise finish. A bit mute in its youth, this is going to need a year, at least, to open and blossom. It should hold well for a decade or more thereafter. It was surprisingly understated just now, but I think it will eventually be a contender for best in the brand.
    SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2021

  11. Domaine de Villaine Bouzeron

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#92925

    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - May 31, 2021
A fresh, crystalline white, this offers lemon, green apple, almond and salty mineral flavors. Though rich, it is detailed and well-defined by vibrant acidity. Shows fine balance and length, leaving a hint of wild herbs on the finish. Drink now through 2025. 1,000 cases imported.
    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 11th Jun 2020
Aromas of green apple, pear, white flowers and beeswax introduce the 2018 Bouzeron, a medium-bodied, racy wine with an elegantly satiny attack, bright acids and a long, precise finish. This is a touch more demonstrative out of the gates than the 2017 rendition, but it retains plenty of cut in this warm year and should age well.
