  1. Colle Bereto Chianti Classico

    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#94038

    SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 15, 2020
Aromas of blood, iron and raw beef lead off, followed by flavors of cherry, plum and leather. Rich and harmonious, with a dense underlying structure and terrific length. Approachable now, but this should evolve well over the next few decades. Drink now through 2040. 3,500 cases made, 2,800 cases imported.
    JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Thursday, November 7, 2019
Lots of dried peppers here, as well as earth, dried plums and spices. Firm and tangy on the medium-bodied palate, but quite succulent on the finish. Lemon-zest aftertaste. Drink now.

    2016 / 750 ml. | Item#94523

    RP94+94+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Oct 2018
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Proprietary Red Blend Family Reserve Generations is intensely scented of warm black and red currants, Black Forest cake and blueberry compote with nuances of chocolate mint, new leather, tilled soil and fallen leaves. Full-bodied with a taut frame of grainy tannins supporting the densely packed black fruit layers, it has a long lingering minty kick on the finish.
    SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2020

    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 2/1/2019
Wood aromas from aging for 12 months in barrels dominate this wine and the wood shows strongly on the palate. However, the berry flavors and acidity are also well placed to integrate with the wood and tannic structure. so the wine should age well. Drink this Vignobles Bayle Carreau wine from 2022. 9. Pocas Vale de Cavalos

    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#83206

    WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2019
From grapes grown in the eastern Douro Superior region, this wine is dense and structured. Its dry core is still young, bringing out rich black fruits and spice. The wine should age further, so drink from 2021.
    RP8888 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Aug 2019
The 2017 Vale de Cavalos red is a blend from old vines of 50% Touriga Nacional, 20% Touriga Franca, 20% Tinta Roriz and 10% Tinta Barroca, aged in an 80/20 mixture of stainless steel and used French oak for six months. It comes in at 13.7% alcohol. This seems rich and a little jammy. It is immediately impressive because of its big-fruit feel at first, but it lacks some of the freshness of the last couple of vintages. The Coroa and the Reserva this issue might be fresher too. However, this compensates with more depth and roundness, granting that they weren’t all here and tasted side by side. There is a touch of charcoal as well, perhaps a reductive hint, but it doesn’t destroy the performance.
    SP8888 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2020
Black cherry and currant flavors fill this supple, full-bodied red, with underpinnings of black tea, anise and violet lingering into the plush, mineral-edged finish. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca. Drink now through 2023. 3,700 cases made, 2,400 cases imported.

  11. Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#72306

    SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2018
A well-cut and lacy Champagne in an elegant, aperitif style, with hints of chalk and graphite underscoring the lively Honeycrisp apple, cherry and lemon curd flavors. Offers a sleek, minerally finish. Drink now through 2021.
    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2013
One of the most familiar of Champagnes, the Yellow Label is finely made — a fruity while structured wine. It has both fresh and fragrant fruit as well as richness, a soft, creamy texture and bright acidity. There is no sense in bottle aging here — drink this wine because of its crispness.
    WS9090 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 1997
The quality of this non-vintage blend is impressive, from it integrated Champagne scent to its creamy texture that carries aromas and flavors of green apples, white flowers, and fine minerality. It all comes together in the finish, where the opulent, pillowy texture meets the crispness of the mousse and light acidity.
    RP8787 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Dec 2008
The NV Brut offers up attractive notes of smoke, tar, rich ripe pears and flowers in a medium to full-bodied style. There is a good measure of persistence, although the wine could use a little more polish on the finish. This is Lot 14009913, disgorged between December, 2007 and January, 2008. Anticipated maturity: 2008–2010.
    ST8787 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2011
Bright yellow-gold. Poached pear and candied citrus fruits on the nose, which shows notes of spun sugar and toffee. Sweet orchard and pit fruit flavors are slightly cloying and loose-knit, with slow-mounting spiciness. Finishes on a warm note, with decent length and a suggestion of candied orange.

  13. La Marca Prosecco

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#42544

    SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Apr 30, 2007
A delicate, well-balanced Prosecco, showing a good blend of baked apple, sour lemon and grapefruit, with a lightly creamy mineral texture on the palate. Medium froth, with some body and a pleasant lemon and mineral finish. Drink now.
    BD8989 pts. - Beverage Dynamics - May/Jun 2011
Fresh citrus with hints of honey and white flowers on the nose; soft, light and delicate; delicious.
    WS8888 pts. - Wine & Spirits - August 1, 2013
Scents of dried grasses and sweet apples carry through this Prosecco. It lasts on nutty flavors, pleasantly balanced for sipping on the beach.
    WE8787 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 8/1/2012
Widely available, this easy Prosecco offers fresh aromas of citrus, stone fruit and honey. It’s elegantly packaged with a light blue label that would look gorgeous at a lunchtime table set by the pool.
