    WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 9/1/2022
Wet stone, tropical flowers and white melon aromas make for a compelling nose on this bottling of a widely available, downright cheap Chardonnay. The palate stays clean as well, with gardenia and stone fruit flavors working in tandem. (Matt Kettmann)

    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 2/1/2019
Wood aromas from aging for 12 months in barrels dominate this wine and the wood shows strongly on the palate. However, the berry flavors and acidity are also well placed to integrate with the wood and tannic structure. so the wine should age well. Drink this Vignobles Bayle Carreau wine from 2022. WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 5/1/2022
Made with organically farmed grapes — 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Colorino — this opens with aromas of black-skinned berry, underbrush and leather. The fragrant, balanced palate offers black cherry, clove and licorice alongside firm, polished tannins. Drink 2023–2030.
    JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Thursday, November 4, 2021
A well-defined and typical Chianti Rufina with aromas and flavors of berries and cherries, as well as darker, savory notes of bark and dried herbs. Medium body and grainy tannins that have a dusty-oak coating that absorbs the fruit flavors nicely and gives a long, firm and a slightly bitter, licoricy finish. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but will be better integrated in 2023.

  10. Altos Las Hormigas Malbec Clásico

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#66915

    RP90+90+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Mar 2021
Their bread-and-butter red 2019 Malbec Clásico wants to show, through an early harvest and an élevage without oak, that not all Malbec from Mendoza is jammy. 2019 was much warmer than 2018, and the grapes developed full flavors like they haven’t seen for years. It’s mostly grapes from Luján de Cuyo and a small percentage from the Valle de Uco, mostly from their estate vineyards, from parts with limestone in the soils. The hand-harvested grapes fermented in stainless steel with native yeasts, and the wine matured in concrete vats for nine months. It’s floral and expressive, clean and varietal, juicy, fruit-driven and very easy to drink. 645,000 bottles produced. They bottled a first lot in October 2020, and the rest will be bottled in the following months.

  13. Yannick Alléno & Michel Chapoutier Côtes du Rhône

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#93711

    VN90+90–91 pts. - Vinous - May 2020
Lively cherry and raspberry scents are complemented by suggestions of baking spices, lavender and white pepper. Smooth, focused and appealingly sweet, offering spice-laced red and blue fruit and floral pastille flavors that tighten up slightly on the back half. A zesty mineral note appears on the red-fruit-dominated finish, which is framed by supple, even tannins.
    JD90+90–92 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - August 16, 2019
From vines throughout the region and a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah brought up all in concrete, the 2018 Côtes Du Rhône comes from a collaboration between Michel Chapoutier and 3-star Michel Chef Yannick Alleno. It has a perfumed bouquet of ripe black cherries, blackberries, garrigue, and chocolate. This carries to a medium to full-bodied Côtes Du Rhône that has a distinct saltiness, beautiful fruit, and a great finish. It seems to always over-deliver. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    RP89+89–91 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Aug 2019
The 2018 Cotes du Rhone is a 70-30 blend of Grenache and Syrah, all matured in tank. It shows appealing blueberry and cherry fruit, even a hint of apricot or peach. Ripe and supple, it’s medium to full-bodied, with a long, silky finish. Nicely done.
