    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#91247

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2017
Blended of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller portions of Petit Sirah, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the 2015 Tarot Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet-purple color and exuberant nose of warm plums, crushed cherries and crème de cassis with touches of Indian spices, fragrant earth and violets with a waft of lavender. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it fills the palate with black berry and earthy layers, finishing with the lovely velvety texture paving the way.
    JD9191 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - December 29, 2017
The 2015 Tarot Cabernet Sauvignon offers more black cherry, spice and hints of toast, as well as medium to full-bodied richness and a tighter, more focused, concentrated style. It’s terrific now but should evolve gracefully.

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#87555

    VN92+92–94 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2017
Deep ruby. Potent scents of candied raspberry and cherry compote are complicated by sexy floral and oak spice flourishes. Seamless, round and appealingly sweet, offering intense red berry liqueur and lavender pastille flavors and hints of spicecake and white pepper on the back half. Finishes sappy and very long, showing seamless tannins and lingering red fruit preserve and allspice qualities.
    RP87+87–89 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 28th Oct 2016
The medium ruby colored 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape les Galets de la Berthaude is a charming, yet relatively mid-weight effort that offers plenty of raspberry and framboise characteristics, medium-bodied weight and light tannin. It should drink nicely in its youth.

    JD9090 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - January 31, 2020
Starting with the base Chardonnay, the 2018 Chardonnay is a ripe, nicely textured, concentrated white that has classy buttered citrus and orchard fruit as well as a touch of background oak. It’s rock-solid.

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#79216

    RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Jan 2020
The 2018 Pessimist is a barrel sample blend of 62% Petite Sirah, 19% Zinfandel, 17% Syrah and 2% Lagrein. It is expected to age for 11 months in 50% new French oak. Opaque ruby-purple, it offers up tar, chargrill, turned black earth and blackcurrants with wafts of blackcurrant bud, dark chocolate, smoked meats and crushed red cherries. The medium to full-bodied palate has lifted flavor layers, a firm, grainy frame and long, spicy, fresh finish.
    JD90+90–92 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - October 31, 2019
The Pessimist cuvée by the Daou Brothers is always a good value for those who love opulent fruit, and the 2018 offers loads of sweet blue fruits, white chocolate, violets, and toasted spice aromas and flavors. Based on 62% Petite Sirah, 19% Zinfandel, and 17% Syrah, it’s full-bodied, decadent, and rich while staying light on its feet. I’d be happy to drink it.

  6. Poggerino Chianti Classico

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#88941

    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Sep 30, 2018
Though shy in aroma, this offers a beam of pure cherry flavor. Earth, leather, mineral and tobacco accents add depth. Harmonious, if youthful, with fine energy on the finish. Best from 2020 through 2028. 4,000 cases made.
    RP90+90+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2017
The 2015 Chianti Classico is plump and ripe. It carries a full bouquet of exuberant fruit aromas with Morello cherry, blackberry and red rose. The wine is compact and complete. It offers good intensity and a high pleasure threshold. It is also naturally informal in approach, and that’s what makes it so easy to pair with your favorite Italian foods. If you are nostalgic for classic Sangiovese, this is your wine. Some 48,000 bottles were produced.

  7. Black Slate Porrera

    Vi de la Villa
    2014 / 750 ml. | Item#81606

    RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 28th Oct 2016
Part of the collection from different villages from Priorat, Cellar Cal Pla produced a 2014 Black Slate Porrera, which is a blend of 50% Garnacha with 40% Cariñena and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a village wine from 20- to 30-year-old vines on slate soils fermented in stainless steel and concrete vats and matured in 225- and 300-liter oak barrels (80% French oak, 20% Hungarian) for one year. The nose is beautiful, combining violets, a hint of beef blood, something ashy and an organic, soil note, developing a smoky bacon twist with time in the glass. The palate shows good integration of the oak, better than in the majority of wines from this winery. Beautiful flowers appear with time and made me go back to the glass again and again. There are 35,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in mid-June 2016.

  8. Chanin Los Alamos Vineyard Chardonnay

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#93339

    JD9595 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - August 4, 2020
Brought up in 20% new French oak, the 2018 Chardonnay Los Alamos reveals a light gold hue as well as a beautiful bouquet of stone fruits, toasted bread, almond paste, and honeysuckle. Beautifully textured, medium to full-bodied, and seamless on the palate, it’s a gorgeous Chardonnay as well as a brilliant value!
    WS9494 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 10/20
Tasting Gavin Chanin’s majestic chardonnay bottling from Los Alamos is like standing on a hilltop in that vineyard and letting the sea spray imperceptibly coat your lips. Beneath the cinnamon spice and the citrus brightness is a kind of bracing, briny green sensation, reminding one taster of agretti, the salty springtime green that finds its way into Italian salads. The wine is bracing and delicious, with the structure to age ten years or more.
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2020
The 2018 Chardonnay Los Alamos Vineyard is a very pretty, airy wine. Candied lemon peel, almond paste and chamomile are all laced together. Tangerine oil and tropical accents add an exotic flair as this mid-weight Chardonnay opens nicely in the glass.

  9. Planetes de Nin

    2016 / 750 ml. | Item#91207

    RP95+95+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Aug 2019
A 60/40 blend of Garnacha and Cariñena from the vineyard that names the wine, the 2016 Planetes de Nin saw a similar vinification and aging as the 2017 I tasted next to it, so the differences found were only due to the vintage and the moment of harvest. This is a fresher vintage, with tantalizing aromas that are subtle and elegant, with notes of violets and red cherries, nuanced and ever-changing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied and nicely textured, with very fine tannins and fine chalky minerality. 9,108 bottles were filled in April 2017.

  10. WillaKenzie Estate Pierre Léon Pinot Noir

    2014 / 750 ml. | Item#90124

    SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Feb 28, 2017
Firm, sleek and focused, layering currant, blueberry and cream flavors with hints of pepper and cedar. Finishes with point and length. Best from 2018 through 2022. 3,500 cases made.
    WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 2/1/2017
This is juicy, almost jammy, with forward flavors of strawberry candy that fill the mouth and hang tight. There’s a light hint of pepper around a lingering, clean finish. It’s full, forward and fruit-powered.
