Why Can't We Ship This Item?
Either the bottle is too large for our packaging (i.e. we cannot ship anything larger than 750 ml), the dimensions/shape of the bottle doesn't fit within our packaging for safe shipment, or this is a widely-distributed wine (e.g. Barefoot, Yellow Tail, etc) which we only sell at our physical store or for in-store pickup.

When it comes to US wine production, California is King. California wines account for almost 90% of all wines produced in the United States each year, and is home to the most celebrated vineyards and producers in the country. California is probably best known for its world-famous Cabernets and Chardonnays, many of which hail from its two most-acclaimed AVAs, Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Other prominent grapes used in California wines include Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, and Zinfandel (which California made popular).

California Pinot Noir

This wine is youthful with sweet yellow plums, blackberry, brulleed orange rind, tangerine, green olives. There is this buoyancy in the mid-palate while the finish is dry and lingers. Perfect with Tombo Tuna or Nicoise Salad. (Tonya Pitts)

Dark color. Lots of black cherry, umami, pine resin, oyster shell, wild berry and iodine aromas. Unique and full-bodied with powdery tannins that get firm. Tees this up nicely. Most likely heritage clones. Drinkable but will age nicely. Drink or hold. (James Suckling)
Punchy and still quite primal, displaying a burst of plum, black cherry and boysenberry fruit flavors supported by bright, almost perky acidity and laced with notes of singed apple wood and dried anise on the toasty finish. A youthful tumble right now, but some cellaring should ease this into full equilibrium. Best from 2025 through 2034. 653 cases made. (James Molesworth)
The 2021 Pinot Noir U.V. – Lucky Well Vineyard is a rich, effusive wine. Lavender, mint, spice and cool, blue-toned fruits open with a bit of coaxing. Bright acids lend freshness and verve throughout, finishing with a note of sweet oak. (Antonio Galloni)

Red plums, red currants, and lavender followed by dried herbs, wild bush and roasted coffee beans with toasty notes. Medium-bodied, refreshing acidity, juicy silky tannins. Lively and energetic yet balanced and refined. Aged for 20 months in 40% new French oak. Drink or hold. (James Suckling)
A brisk, fresh style, with cherry pit and blood orange notes carried by fresh acidity. Reveals a savory note that ripples nicely through the finish, along with an encore of fruit. Drink now through 2026. 25,720 cases made. (James Molesworth)

The 2021 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is floral with perfume and ripe red berries, as well as notes of framboise, rosemary, and incense. Offering fantastic balance, with fine tannins, fresh seamless acidity, and a good purity of fruit, this is a very attractive wine now and will continue to provide prime drinking over the next 12 or more years. (Audrey Frick)
The 2021 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast was matured in 39% new oak for 15 months. The nose opens slowly from allspice and brown sugar to a core of red cherry and cranberry, tea leaves and lavender. The medium-bodied palate offers surprisingly concentrated fruit supported by grainy tannins and seamless freshness, and it has a long, spicy finish. (Erin Brooks)
Ripe and friendly, with a tasty mix of gently mulled cherry and raspberry notes mixed with subtle red tea, singed sandalwood and a twinge of savory. Drink now through 2025. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 7,775 cases made. (James Molesworth)
