From the upstate New York distiller best known for creating Hudson Baby Bourbon comes this crisp and appealing gin, which is packaged in an attractive, nautical-themed bottle. The aromas are of citrus and anise, although on the palate the anise thrusts forward to overshadow the citrus note. The gin is distilled from a mix of 80% wheat and 20% apples. Although there’s nothing apple-y about the flavor profile, the wheat yields a flavorful mix of piquant spices on the finish. Ideal for briny olive-spiked martinis.
