Italy is famous for its powerful, sleek, and elegant reds wines from ancient growing areas with legendary names such as Chianti, Barolo, Barbaresco, Montepulciano. Italian white wines are also gaining popularity: Orvieto, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon are excellent examples of Italian white wines.

Wines of Italy are complex and flavorful, much like the culture that is their source and the cuisine that is their match.

RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 7th Dec 2018
The 2015 Irpinia Aglianico is a highly drinkable and accessible wine that makes a great impression straight out of the gate. My mind takes me to an immediate food association, along the lines of roast beef or grilled bacon. This Aglianico shows a dark and inky appearance with robust aromas of blackberry confit, spice, leather and charred earth. The natural freshness and structure of the wine will cut through fatty foods. Some 30,000 bottles were made.
SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2017
This is elegant and well-meshed, with fine tannins and a fragrant skein of ground spice layered with flavors of baked black currant, herbes de Provence, smoke and fig cake. The fresh finish is chewy and lingering. Drink now through 2022. 2,083 cases made.

A dry and firm falanghina with sliced-apple and cooked-pear character. Medium body. Fresh finish. Drink now.
SP8888 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2019
A well-spiced and creamy white, with snappy acidity defining the apricot flavors and hints of chalky mineral and kiwifruit, set in a light- to medium-bodied frame. Drink now through 2022. 3,300 cases made, 1,200 cases imported.
RP8888 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 10th Oct 2019
The Donnachiara 2018 Falanghina is a terrific, easy-drinking wine with bright mineral definition and solid notes of citrus and green apple. The wine is steady, clean and nicely balanced in terms of its acidity versus sweet fruit characteristics. Some 45,000 bottles were made, and you get great value here.
