Critical Acclaim

RP89 Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate 30th Apr 2019

"The entry-level red 2018 Tinto feels very young and a little reductive. It has a dark, almost opaque color and aromas of ripe berries and herbs. It’s a similar blend to the rosé — 79% Tempranillo, 12% Garnacha and 9% Syrah — and has the same sweet, juicy, fruit-driven profile. It fermented in stainless steel and was bottled unoaked. 40,000 bottles were filled in February 2019." (89 pts.)

Rioja

One of Spain's most famous wine regions, Rioja lies in north central Spain near the border with France along the Rio Oja River. In fact, many French winemakers moved to this mountainous region from Bordeaux in the 19th century to escape the blight of Phylloxera, which was prevalent at that time. Red wines are typically blends, most commonly using Tempranillo and Grenache (Garnacha) grapes. White wines here are made from Viura grapes.

Spain

The picturesque countryside of Spain is littered with vineyards large and small, and offers up some of the best value available on the wine market today. You can consistently fine critically-acclaimed Spanish wines selling for less than their counterparts from other wine-producing countries. The Rioja and Ribera del Duero regions are most famous, and there's nowhere else in the world where you'll find as many world-class Tempranillos.
