An explosive yet nuanced nose of anise, toasted black peppercorn, saline, and violet aromatics is stunning even before the first sip. Fleshy and decadent, yet grounded by satisfying fruit tannin, this wine speaks to the quality and focus of Larner Vineyard. It reminds me of a classic Côte-Rôtie with sun-touched California grandeur.
