This vintage features both richness and freshness coming together in an intriguing way. Fruit is luscious, and integrated wood complements rather than defines the wine. Scents of cassis, blackberries and pomace fresh off the skins. The palate starts off broad and sleek, then broods with luxurious tannins expanding to a fine textural impression. Ripeness abounds with youthful vibrancy — fruit-driven as Caymus is known, with overlay of French oak on the finish.
Napa ValleyNapa Valley is California's -- and America's -- most famous and celebrated wine district. Located north of San Francisco, Napa Valley is most famous for its world-class Cabernets and Chardonnays. The region's acclaim officially took off following a 1976 tasting in Paris when renowned judges chose a Napa Chardonnay and Cabernet over top French wines made from the same grapes.
