90 pts. : Nov/Dec 2006

Ripe golden apples with a clean and crisp presentation; the bubbles are tight and plentiful and it’s just right with cold salads, desserts and soft cheeses.

89 pts. : June, 2003

Light in color and lithe, with flowery aromas along with hints of orange blossom and lemon-lime. There’s good reason why this Prosecco is so popular: It’s sleek and smooth, with a graceful mouthfeel and perfect acidity. At restaurants it’s the prescribed palate prep, a wine to sip casually before moving on to bigger things. And the flavors of pears, apples and lime soda are just right.

89 pts. : Nov/Dec 2009

Bright and refreshing with flavors of apples, wildflowers, lemon and a hint of honey; well balanced with a crisp acidity, this sparkler pairs well with food.

89 pts. : December, 2002

Consistently excellent, this blend of 95% Prosecco and 5% Chardonnay is a bubbly, frothy, light-bodied, dry sparkler with a flowery/white peach-scented nose, ephemeral flavors, and a clean finish. It is all that a Prosecco should be. Enjoy it over the next year.

The NV Prosecco Brut is a richer, creamier wine than the Brut Cuvee Private. Here the fruit tends towards ripe yellow peaches, with flowers, spices and minerals that add complexity. The finish is long, generous and nicely balanced. This is Lot 1013708. Anticipated maturity: 2010–2012.

88 pts.: 1st Aug 2008

The NV Prosecco Brut shows noticeably more character as its bursts from the glass with an engaging array of aromas and flavors. It comes across as generous and expansive on the palate, with excellent length and lovely harmony. Anticipated maturity: 2008–2009.

88 pts. : July, 2006

One of the finest widely available Proseccos in the marketplace, this fresh, lively wine, a blend of 95% Prosecco and 5% Chardonnay, exhibits notions of orange rind, brioche, and honeyed grapefruit. Light-bodied, effervescent, and packing plenty of flavor in its delicate personality, it should be enjoyed within a year of purchasing.

88 pts. : December 15, 2007

Here’s another terrific no-fuss Italian sparkler with a tight, tonic mouthfeel. There’s nice linearity and coherency to the aromas that recall stone fruit and lemon drop.

88 pts. : August, 2005

One of the finest of a bevy of light-bodied, crisp, tasty Proseccos in the marketplace, this blend of 95% Prosecco and 5% Chardonnay is frothy, fresh, and savory. Enjoy it over the next year.

88 pts. : June, 2001

Readers looking for a super value in sparkling wine need search no further. This excellent, crisp, light-bodied, richly fruity, refreshing effervescent, dry sparkler offers notes of citrus and bread dough in its pure, zesty personality. Drink it over the next year.

Sweet and floral, with lime and gardenia on the nose. Nice lemon-lime flavors are tasty and just crisp enough. Finishes a touch like Sprite, with lingering tangerine and pineapple flavors.

86 pts.: August 1, 2014

Muscat-like in its fruit-basket aromas, this contrasts that fresh fruit with notes of marzipan and almond sweetness. Serve it with fresh peaches at the end of a meal.

86 pts.: May 31, 2000

Here’s a value worth celebrating: A thick, full-bodied sparkler with a bountiful honeydew character, light bead and fresh finish. Drink now.

86 pts. : August 1, 2007

Tiny bubbles lift the light, lemon impression of this wine; it lasts with a toasty, leesy flavor that’s more oxidative in tone. An austere sparkler.

86 pts.: 12/31/2011

Zardetto’s easy DOC Prosecco (from the newly enlarged production zone) offers a fresh and cheerful drinking experience with lime, green apple and drying mineral.

Best value. Very clean and bracing, with a nice interplay of bubbles and minerals. A little nutty.
