Shop for Tuscan Wines
In Tuscany, wine and food are inseparable. So, it's not surprising that these wines always compliment the classic fare of the region.
Red wines of Tuscany are traditionally Sangiovese-based (e.g. Chianti, Brunello), while internationally-styled wines featuring Cabernet, Merlot and/or Syrah (i.e. the "Super Tuscans") are becoming increasingly more popular.
White wine from Tuscany is most often light in body and unoaked (e.g. Verdicchio or Vernacchia). One thing you can be certain of, though, is that any classic dish from Central Italy will have a corresponding wine that suits it just perfectly.
