The early bouquet is round, biscuity, and a touch spicy; further aeration reveals a deep aroma of butterscotch, cream, vanilla, marzipan, and candied almond. The palate entry is vividly spirity as the alcohol slightly pricks the tongue; the midpalate stage displays solid flavors of dried orange rind, white raisins, marmalade, and figs. Finishes elegantly and sweet.

Spicy. Another delightfully perplexing whisky for its pleasant transformation. Starts with a combination of floral notes and rich caramel and vanilla character, yet all that disappears on the palate to be replaced by intense, tingly spices such as nutmeg and ginger. Returns to the basic chewiness of the nose with candy and wood notes, along with a slight hint of banana far at the end. Bourbon, American oak and Sherry casks.
