Supple and seductive, this brims with lovely pomegranate-tinged red cherry and spice flavors, hinting at clove and tobacco as the finish lingers. A graceful red, with pizzazz, that feels airborne on the finish. Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2015.

The 2005 Envoy GSM is composed of 60% Grenache, 30% Shiraz, and 10% Mourvedre. It presents an enticing perfume of damp earth, forest floor, spice box, kirsch, and blueberry. This leads to a velvety-textured, intensely flavored wine with outstanding depth and length. It can be enjoyed over the next 8–10 years.

Dark purple. Fresh dark berry aromas deepen with air, developing a ripe, smoky bouquet. Dense and ripe on the palate, showing brooding bitter cherry and blackcurrant flavors and chunky tannins. Gains an exotic floral pastille quality on the long, spicy finish. This needs a serious steak.
