Deep copper hue. First nosings detect intensely acidic notes of orange peel; later whiffs are treated to chunky aromas of marzipan, candied orange rind, dried apricot and almond oil. Palate entry is heavy, syrupy; midpalate is pleasantly fruity, orange-like and sweet. Finishes long and thick.

Very strong orange rind and caramel, with spruce and citrus notes. Viscous mouth feel, with flavors of orange, herbs and white pepper; lovely vanilla expression in the long finish.

Beautiful nut brown/chestnut/orange color; flawless purity. Initial sniffs detect fresh orange peel. Nuts, and background brandy notes; later whiffs pick up pineapple, tangerine, and orange peel, all on top of the brandy structure. Palate entry is acidic and very orangy, with no evidence of the brandy; at midpalate, the brandy enters the flavor equation and nicely complements the orange peel/orange juice taste. Concludes fresh, a touch too woody, and acidic. Better than average by quite a long way. Recommended.
