This is really gorgeous, with loads of ripe fruit, mineral, plum and berry aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, with lots of ripe, velvety tannins and a medium-long finish. Juicy wine. This is the best I have ever had from here. Best after 2008.

Top flight Nebbiolo that requires a significant amount of breathing to open up. Patience reveals a medley of truffles, brown spice, anise and black plums. Flavors are crisp and tangy on the palate, culminating with a long, luxurious finish that lingers on and on. Have it with hearty comfort food. A nice mushroom risotto comes to mind.
