The 2010 Sauvignon Sanct-Valentin emerges from the glass with expressive layers of green pears, white peaches, sage, tomato leaf and mint. This is a fairly restrained, mineral-driven vintage for the Sauvignon Sanct-Valentin, but it works beautifully here. I especially like the energy and sheer verve in the 2010. Intense mineral notes linger on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012–2015.

A modest Sauvignon, with hints of lemon, green pear, melon rind, tarragon and stone. Snappy and a bit shy on flavor today, with a lip-smacking finish. Drink now through 2014.
