An elegant, serious rosé Champagne with none of the tannins that can sneak into rosé; like its traditional sister, the yeasts are demure; delicious berry flavors come through strongly.

There’s lovely precision to the integration of this elegant rosé, offering a fine backbone of acidity and a light mousse. The flavors of poached pear, black cherry, fleur de sel, lemon zest and ginger are finely meshed, with a subtle vein of smoky minerality. Drink now through 2023.

This deep pink rosé starts off from a delicate scent of spice and roses, strawberries and the freshly turned earth of a garden. It grows more powerful and grand with air, building fresh raspberry pinot vinosity, a fragrant essence of limestone and fruit that lasts.

Fragrant with raspberry and hibiscus, this is a vibrant rosé. Light pink in color, the wine has touches of sweetness that don’t get in the way of its powerful personality. It shares the Middle Eastern spice notes of the Blanc de Blancs, here matched with delicate red fruit. Pour it with lacquered duck.

There’s a smoky undertow to this lively rosé, mixing with hints of ripe black cherry, guava, biscotti and spice. Elegant overall thanks the fine balance and detailed, creamy texture. Drink now through 2017.


A mature, beautifully balanced wine, with great fresh raspberry and red currant flavors. It is rich, dense, balancing toast, yeast and fresh fruit. With its dry edge, think of this as a food wine.

The NV Brut Rosé is made in a similarly elegant and refined style, even though it isn’t quite as expressive as the Blanc de Blancs at the outset. With time in the glass the Pinot qualities come through with greater focus. The NV Rosé offers excellent length and a polished personality in the signature Ruinart style. Utterly delicious, totally fruit-driven and with surprising finesse, this is just the second Ruinart Brut Rose cuvee produced by Fred Panaiotis, the young, highly talented new chef de caves. If he keeps this up, Ruinart, the oldest Champagne house, could be a superstar in the making.
