The best of Korbel’s sparkling wines, and one that can stand next to bubblies that cost two or three times as much. Rich and dry, it has a very creamy mouthfeel, with subtle, complex flavors of lime, grapefruit, strawberry, and yeast. It’s a brut-style wine made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Lovely floral aromas lead the way in this sparkler, followed by a medley of tangy grapefruit, lemon, pear and mineral flavors that waltz to a long and graceful finish. A fine wine at a great price.

Shows an appealing mix of raspberry and green apple notes, with fresh, crisp Asian pear accents.

Opening with appealing pear, peach and smoke notes, the wine displays medium weight and apple and sate flavors. Finishes tart and clean, with barely sweet green-apple flavors that linger.

Medium weight, this 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay blend boasts dry apple-earth flavors with mild lime hints. Somewhat closed on the nose, it opens a bit on the palate, and throughout displays a fine, even bead. Finishes modestly with a hint of sweet fruit.

Grassy and crisp, with apple, vanilla and butter notes in the finish. Drink now through 2002.

With minimum dosage, this is drier than Korbel’s other brut styles, and also rougher in texture. It showcases citrus, bread dough and spicy flavors.

: May/Jun 1996

Light and dry with lots of apple taste; crisp and clean; a long and elegant finish.

: January, 2001

Crisp, fruit-centered aromas, with yeasty overtones. Full-flavored, with richly flavored aromas; finishes with good length. A great food wine.
