A solid cocktail choice, this 100% agave Tequila has rich, rounded vanilla and zingy peppery notes followed by a dry cocoa accent on the finish. The bottle is a stunner, with its yellow, red and black Day of the Dead graphic that’s meant to be frozen to bring out additional thermochromic details. (It’s a bit of overkill — the bottle is plenty eye-catching at room temperature.)

Opening inhalations encounter notes of green olive, brine and sea salt; following another seven minutes of air contact, a distinct spiciness emerges, mostly black peppercorn, as well as a none-too-subtle thrust of dill pickle. Palate entry offers low-grade agave juice sweetness and pepperiness; midpalate features jalapeno pepper, green pepper, dill, and a touch of vanilla. Best Buy.

Light wheat color with hints of oak in the nose, earthy flavor and a natural wood finish.

This tequila bears a pungent, peppery nose-some tasters mentioned citrus and pineapple aromas. The soft, medium body brought a fruity element-refined sugar was one descriptor-and one of the panel detected a slight smokiness and hints of cocoa and chocolate. There’s heat in the quick finish. Great for cocktails or for shots of salt and lime.
