Fresh and grapey, with plenty of grip and power behind dark plum, chocolate and berry flavors that feature slate and pepper notes. Drink now through 2020.

David Guimaraens, who makes the wines for both Taylor and Fonseca, blends Bin 27 to share the deep richness and fruitiness of a big, round Fonseca Vintage. With all its elements beautifully integrated, the wine comes across as fresh plum and figgy fruit, round and lovely tight in the middle as Fonseca Portos are blended to be. This generous wine consistently shows at the top of the proprietary ruby class.

Chocolaty and plush, displaying good concentration to the ripe plum, mocha and dark cherry flavors, with paprika accents. Very fruity, with raspberry notes on the finish. Drink now through 2016.

Full saturated red with crimson highlights. Medium-bodied. Highly extracted. mildly tannic. Violets, sweet black and red fruits. Full floral aromas show complexity. A deep mouthfilling entry with fully extracted flavors gives this a substantial character through the finish.

One of the big brands in Reserve Ports, Bin 27 is long and well established. So it’s good to report that it is great wine, with sweetness and balancing acidity and fruit. Soft and juicy it is ready to drink, but there are structure and flavors of dried raisins to give it some aging potential.

Members of the Port trade are always looking for a simple tawny or ruby to drink after a good bottle of vintage Port. They need look no further than Fonseca’s Bin 27. It’s always opulent and delicious… with loads of sweet fruit flavors and a hint of cedar on the finish. The Bin 27 is treated and lightly filtered so there’s no sediment left in the bottle, but I’ve seen older bottles that throw a deposit and improve with bottle age.

Very deep blackish ruby hue with a purple cast. moderately full-bodied. Moderately extracted. Black fruits, licorice, lacquer. Quite aromatic with a fruit-accented, flavorful palate. Straightforward and sweet through the finish, though shows good depth.

Has a deep perfume of plums, berries and cedar, with spirity notes. the similar flavors are sweet, round, concentrated, balanced and lush — delicious.
