Autumn is the perfect time to drink wines from southern Italy like the Donnachiara Falanghina, because they pair so beautifully with fall foods such as squash, salads with orchard fruits and turkey. Medium- to full-bodied, but with no oak and fresh acidity, and loaded with pear, red apple and even a hint of pumpkin flavors, this is an amazing value white wine.

The brilliant yellow wine, with flavors of pear, gala apple and lemon, is crisp, clean, juicy and refreshing. It has medium body, balanced acidity and a smooth finish. Although delicious to sip on a sunny afternoon, it has the substance to serve with food. Pair with shrimp risotto, trout almandine or roast chicken.

Dry and soft, with great acid structure and good persistence that confirms and amplifies the olfactive sensations. Intense flavors of acacia, Bosc pear, apricot and candied fruits.
