The 2009 Chorey-Les-Beaune shows beautiful focus and energy in its red cherries, flowers and minerals. The supple style is undoubtedly attractive. This is mostly made from estate owned fruit.

Just south of Aloxe-Corton, Chorey-les-Beaune has always been a superb source for great-value Pinot Noir. In classic Burgundy style, the Chateau de Chorey is rustic and very Old World, with lots of organic mushroom and earthy notes. Underneath, black cherry and currant flavors are present, along with anise, clove and smoke. Fantastic with duck in mushroom sauce, naturally, but go wild and try this with eggplant ragout.
