We were very excited to taste the 2009 Burgundies after reading all the hype about the vintage. The Chofflet Givry was one of the first to arrive, and it has definitely lived up to my expectations! Though light in body, the wine has a terrific mineral backbone that lends a layer of complexity to the elegant cherry and pomegranate notes. Though drinking beautifully right now, the vibrant acidity and great structure suggest that the Chofflet will age gracefully for several years as well.
