The Wente family have been California winemakers since 1883. This lovely Chardonnay is concentrated with ripe fruit and honeysuckle aromas. The flavors of peach and banana interlaced with creamy custard and vanilla with a hint of nutmeg. This wine has great depth and structure with a crisp, long, fruitful finish. Serve with Chicken Cordon Bleu and oven roasted potatoes.

This exclusive Wente bottling labeled “1883” honors the winery’s founder, C.H. Wente, and the date the winery was started. Wente Vineyards is a pioneer in Chardonnay being the first California winery to produce a wine labeled as such. This cool-climate Chardonnay hails from the cooler coastal climate of Monterey which allows for ripe flavors of apple, pear, and tropical fruits while maintaining freshness.
