Stephen Boyd: December 21, 2010
A fleshy Zinfandel, restrained in both body and alcohol level, but resplendent with fruity, herbal, and slightly woody notes. The body is heavy and ripe, balanced between towering fruit and subtle spice. The intensity grows on the finish, slowly building to a monumental rush of berry, cedar, and delicious cherry notes.

The spice box is wide open in the bouquet. Mouthfilling flavors of dark berry fruit, plums, raspberries, cranberries, cassis and a little licorice. Black pepper and briar accentuates the midpalate. A great match with grilled steaks, firm fish, sausage and peppers on a fresh roll or strong cheeses.
