Verging on full-bodied, this white delivers plenty of extract, which buffers the submerged acidity. Peach, lime and quinine notes hold the center, and the finish is long and generous. Drink now through 2015.

Just over the border there is a little town called Jordan, Ontario. In this town you will find a world class winery named Cave Spring. Their 2008 Estate Riesling comes from the VQA (Vintners Quality Alliance) Beamsville Bench, splashing distance form Lake Ontario. The mouth puckering flavors of peaches and kiwis are balanced by a bracing acidity and finishes dry and clean. An amazing wine that can give some Alsace properties a run for their money.
