This wine seems to have the best of both worlds, old and new. The aromas have that big, sweet California style, but the flavors are complex and not overpowering. This wine spends two years in oak, but the oak does not dominate the wine. Flavors of cherry cola and cassis are pushed along the palate by smooth tannins. This wine is approachable now and will last for a decade or more.

Dark and velvety, this is classic Napa Cabernet. Aromas of currant, blackberry, sage, espresso and dark chocolate follow through to a round finish with softly enveloping tannins. Bring on the steak!
