A bolder style of Riesling, with intense melon, apricot and tart green apple notes holding their own against the bracing acidity and firm dryness. With a vibrant straw hue, the Bellangelo practically sparkles in the light. It’s so much fun to look at — just don’t get hypnotized and forget to sip! You’ll be rewarded with lovely layers of fruit and mineral that pair terrifically with a vast array of dishes, including desserts: my pick is warm pear tartlet fresh out of the oven (yum!), but also try it with roast pork, a fish fry, salads or soups.
