Sheldrake Point Waterfall Chardonnay

If you avoid Chardonnay because you find it fat, flabby and over-oaked, give this lovely Finger Lakes version a try. A pale wheat-yellow in color, it shows ripe honeydew melon on the nose with hints of warm, poached fig and peach cobbler. A full, rich palate suggests a delicate, buttery character, and mouthwatering acidity lends tremendous length on the exceptionally clean finish.
