Ex-Libris Merlot

The fruity, full nose of this dark and smoky Merlot promises a wealth of bright fruit, but the starkly dry mouthfeel and the deliciously elegant depth of the body adds a secondary layer of unexpected fullness. Hints of dark foresty earth intertwine with heavy fruit, the result of a perfect combination of dark Merlot (76%) and textured Cabernet Franc (24%), the perfect blending grape for adding a touch of unique character. The sustained finish has hints both of spice and the jammy fruit promised on the nose.

After the success of the Ex-Libris Cabernet Sauvignon, the winery produced a Merlot (blended with 24% Cabernet Franc). It is broad and rich, with red and black fruits and a smooth finish.
