Composed of grapes from the younger blocks of vines from renowned Saint-Émilion producer Chateau Fonplégade, the Fleur is incredibly bold and powerful, with firm tannins and a velvety smooth finish. Built to last for the long haul, yet a few hours of decanting help make it enjoyable now. Dusty/earthy notes on the nose, with an underlying structure of blueberries and black currant. Set to perfectly complement duck confit or Beef Wellington.

The second wine of Château Fonplégade, a newly restored estate on the famous limestone plateau of Saint Emilion. Made from younger vineyard blocks but vinified the same way as Fonplégade, this clean, well-focused wine has abundant plum and red fruit flavors, fine-grained tannins and a bright finish.
