Jaillance Cuvée de L’Abbaye Brut

I've always been a huge fan of the holiday season, for no other reason than because it provides me the opportunity to recommend an abundance of my favorite type of wine — bubbly! One that never fails to excite me is the Jaillance Crémant de Bordeaux. Comprised of 100% Sèmillon (the grape made famous by the region’s renowned dessert wine, Sauternes), this French sparkler combines bright lemon and green apple fruit notes with soft toast and hints of almonds. Although I recognize that most people purchase sparkling wines for parties and toasts, don't forget that these wines are awesome with dinner too; try this one with veal scallopine, sushi or smoked salmon.

Clean as a whistle, this fantastic substitute for Champagne is made from 100% Sèmillon and showcases this grapes earthy and honeyed tones. Crisp and dry, with mouthwatering green apple and persimmon flavors.

A toast… to the perfect bubble at a perfect price. Smells of dough and warm bread exude beautifully from the glass. This Sémillon cuvée displays touches of citrus, butter and even butterscotch. Certainly, this is a bottle worthy of any celebration. For such quality, at such a price, uncorking this bottle of bubbly is a celebration in itself… cheers!
