Upon opening this wine, the cork showed a bright strawberry color that I’ve never seen on a cork before, leading me to believe that this was going to be something special. In the glass, this Cabernet is a deep ruby red with strawberry tinged edges. Its aromas convey thoughts of black fruits, earthiness, and tannins. As you sip it, the acidity shows off the beautiful fruit that went into this wine. Merged with its very smooth and supple tannins, this wine is sure to be a crowd pleaser. This is one of the nicest Cabernets made in New York State, and I can’t wait to try their Proprietor’s Reserve when it is released.
