This is a strong vintage for Bordeaux’s dry white wines, probably as good or better than 2005. Crisp acidity combined with outstanding concentration and the fact that most of the white grapes were harvested before the rains began in mid-September resulted in an impressive group of wines.

Offers lemon curd, with a banana cream undertone. Full-bodied, with a solid core of ripe fruit and a dried pineapple and honey aftertaste. Drink now.

Phenomenal effort from a world-renowned Bordeaux producer! Amazing depth of aromas: fresh-mown grass, white grapefruit, star fruit and wet gravel notes waft up from the glass and on to your palate. Made of 65% Sauvignon Blanc and 35% Sèmillon; fresh and vibrant, with excellent grip. Limitless food-pairing potential; the stony, mineral undertones suggest it would be wonderful with mussels, oysters, lobster or crab, while the bright, zesty fruit and lush herbal notes mean it would be a perfect match for salads with goat cheese or lemon-basil chicken. White wine enthusiasts, it is time for your moment in the sun! This wine is serious, one of the few great “age-able” whites — try it again in a few years and you’ll be amazed at how it has evolved.
